I haven't tried that combo but I have mixed Raspberry/Bavarian Cream. And Raspberry/Waffle. And Raspberry/Peppermint. And Raspberry/Apricot Cheesecake (I had the Apricot Cheesecake part already.)

I adore TV's raspberry but it tends to dominate anything you put it with other than peppermint. I'd probably do 1/3 raspberry, 2/3 buttercream cupcake to start and then adjust from there.

How is the raspberry vs buttercream flavor balanced? If it's very raspberry-ish, you could add more buttercream. If you feel the raspberry flavor is getting too faint -- like some buttercream icing that's been sitting next to the carton of raspberries in the fridge and picked up a trace of the flavor -- then you might add a bit of sweetener. (I've learned I'm allergic to sucralose so that's not an option for me.)
