DIY juice question

I apologize for posting this here but I can't post in other forums yet.

I was going to place an order for supplies today. To my cart, I added 50/50 vg/pg and some flavorings. When I started shopping for nic, I saw it comes in a vg/pg/nic combo. Is this typical to find the nicotine already mixed? I wanted pure nic but the price isn't even listed on the site. Anyone know how much it runs usually? I think the qty was 120ml.

So my question is...what do you all buy? The combo or the ingredients separately?

It is typical to find many variations on nicotine. I buy mine from myfreedomsmokes.com at 48mg and 100%vg. Runs about $10 for 125ml. I hope this helps.

I recently bought a start up kit from myfreedomsmokes and it comes with 125ml of nicotine base mixed in a 50/50 solution as well for $8.09. In the diy calcs it asks for the nicotine mix ratio and adjusts the amounts of your vg and pg liquids accordingly so I believe it's normal.

The highest you can get is 100mg or 10%
Pure nic is deadly and requires special equipment.

Since they have to thin it with something they use pg or vg

"Pure" nic is about 997mg/mL WAAAAAAAAY to toxic to use properly in mixing for DIY juices. Highest most folks will get is actually 100mg/mL. I use 48 or 60mg/mL and dilute to my level.

You can get varying proportions of PG/VG, depending on how you want to mix. VG is thicker than PG and will be a bit more difficult to use, but not by much. If you are really particular on your ending PG/VG ratio, you'll need to know what you're using and mix accordingly. I use 100% VG nic. I let my flavorings be my PG component and then flesh out with straight VG. I'll end up with somewhere between 20p/80v - 30p/70v depending on what I'm mixing.....

I absolutely dilute to 3mg since I chain vape at sub ohm levels.

Yeah as a said before it is always diluted. I also use myfreedomsmokes I use 100mg 100% VG mix.

Ok, thanks! I was just really confused about what to buy. So I'll get probly 24 nic in 100% vg and some straight pg? Sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to order the wrong thing and then have to order again. Thanks for the help, really appreciated.

I ordered the diy kit from heartlandvapes... Comes with 48mg nic and the pg/vg come in their own bottles. I kinda liked the fact that the vg and pg wasn't mixed, that way you can adjust vg and pg ratios accordingly to different batches. With some flavors I like only 20% pg and others I have mixed as much as 40% pg. oh and you can choose if you want the nicotine to be pg or vg. The starter kit a heartlandvapes is pretty freakin awesome. You get a bunch of bottles and syringes, and get to choose any 5 flavor concentrates from a ridiculous list. Plus they sell all the top vendors for concentrates.

I looked at heartland vape today. Couldn't decide whether to buy from them or ecig express. How long did it take for you to get your order and how much juice were you able to make?

You don't want to be confused about 100% nic or if you can vape 48mg/ml. Don't rush in m8. Read some more and then do the ordering. Here are a few videos on mixing by volume vs weight as a start, but read more.

Took about 8 days to receive...I live in CA and they are in Oklahoma City, plus I ordered when those tornadoes/storms were ripping through there a few weeks back so not too bad considering the circumstances.

I've made about 260ml so far and mix mostly 70vg/30pg batches. I have enough vg to only make about 30-40 more mils, so I ordered more vG yesterday... 500ml for $9 so I'm not complaining

whoooa, so you're a DIYer! Yes, some combos for PG/VG has mixed nic on it so lower down nicotine level as it can be very dangerous handling the pure one. but for the sake of your question, i think you can find here what you are looking for.
