Hey i was wondering if I could get unflavored juice (lets say from mntbakervapor) with no nicotine. would all i need be flavoring and then let it steep for a month? So order an 8oz unflavored bottle and add about 10-20% flavoring?

also would it be fine to use the unflavored juice for testing? like say soak my coils and see if it blows clouds or whatever? it does not NEED flavoring right?

You're correct on all counts, though the steeping is optional.

P.S. You'd save a lot of money by buying your own PG and VG and mixing your own preferred ratio.

I feel like this way has a lot less chance for error, and my budget is pretty tight so I cant afford to screw up really. Plus MntBakerVapor's unflavored juice is $10-ish for 8oz.

If you plan on cloud chasing unflavored, you'll be wanting some VG. You can find it online at around $25-30 per gallon if you want to go that route.

Not cloud chasing per say but more along the lines of decent fog :p. the unflavored juice I would be getting is max VG anyways. thanks for the suggestion though!

If you use an ejuice calculator and proper luer lock syringes you will be doing essentially the same thing mtbaker is doing but for pennies on the dollar.

8 oz is roughly 250ml. For the same price you can get 500ml VG from wizard labs. You should check out some of the different diy vendors. Map out an order. If you research properly you will get a lot of use out of your first order for bare minimum. I got started through wizard labs for just over the minimum for free shipping 65. It got me all my basic supplies. Pg/VG nicotine. Syringes and a decent amount of flavors.

Look around here or check out reddit and find you a recipe or two that would most likely be an all day Vape. Also look into flavors that are decent single flavors. Bullcityvapors lets people post reviews on flavors. You can also individual Google search a flavor. Take your time and map it out and you'll be well prepared with an acceptable amount of room for a few bad juices on your first order.

wow thanks for all the great advice! this may be a stupid question (and part of the reason why i dont DIY), but if I get just the vegetable glycerin, would all i need to do is flavor it if im going for non-nic max VG? again sorry if its a stupid question XD

Hey @ThugginMcMuffin - not stupid questions....

Yes, you could get plain VG and add flavorings. That's basically what I do, except I throw in nic, but it's VG-based. So, depending on how much flavoring I use, I could be anywhere from 20p/80v to 30p/70v for a final juice.

There are a number of folks who vape unflavored. VG in and of itself has a slightly sweet taste to it. If you are dripping, you might not need to thin it (some thin with a touch of distilled water or unflavored vodka or PGA.

You could look at Amazon (about $12 for a quart) or Essential Depot ($18 for a gallon - but shipping might eat you up.) Much better prices on VG, but watch shipping costs.

Buying unflavored eliquid in your desired NIC strength and adding flavoring would be the easiest. However, there are bases that are flavorless that you could do the same thing but cheaper. Basically you buy a particular NIC strength and add your flavoring to it. You also have to keep in mind that the NIC strength in the base will be diluted by whatever you add to it. Meaning that you have a 6mg NIC base, you dilute it when you add your PG/flavoring to reach your completed NIC stength and vg/pg patio. The best way to figure all this out is using an eliquid calculator. You plug all your information in and it calculates how much base you need as well as the flavoring and additional VG/PG. There are plenty of YouTube videos on DIY now so those may be your best bet to fully understand what I'm saying.

As dingerCPA said. Not a stupid question. You can absolutely skip the pg. Your flavoring will most likely be pg and since your skipping nic as well that's more money that you can put towards flavoring and supplies. I would still recommend wizard labs for your first order then down the road get some VG from essential depot. They have 2 gallons for 50 with free shipping. That will last a very long time. You may have to use a little more flavoring since VG doesn't carry flavor as well but plenty of people do that.

e-liquid -recipes .com

Herea a link to the calculator I use. It will save your recipes as well as you can put all your flavors in and click "what can I make". You can also search for other peoples recipes and there notes on individual flavors. Very useful.

Diy is great. If I didn't I wouldn't be able to afford vaping. I totally understand the being on a budget.

Edit. It didn't like the link. Delete spaces
