poland, and the brassy lands of google
You know it is not easy to solder stainless, you need to use a special acid flux as it forms an oxidation layer almost instantaneously that prevents solder from adhering. There are going to be leverage issues between the atty and the mod too, and you want this to be a solid connection.

Yeah, I can probably solder it together with an arc solderer, at least solder 2 or 4 points so it holds, then fill the gap with solder.
Its a possibility.

It wont look pretty though, thats for sure

edit.
could this work?

Ok, sorry to revive a dead thread, but this is what I am needing help with. Venturing into my first DIY tube mod, and I dont want bottom fire. I want a pushbutton on the side, that can make contact inside a piece of the tube above the battery. I was thinking it was better (and more sleek) to have the contact being made with the positive. Looking at the first pictures posted, it looks like the positive is a solid connection, and the ground is where the switch connection was made.

1. Am I wrong for thinking I can make the positive lead where the momentary connection happens?
2. Does anyone have a drawing of how I could build the connection inside of the tube? Basically having a spring loaded button on the side, similar to the button that a GG has, but near the top of the mod, not the bottom.
