DIY oopsies

My friend ordered from Blue Mist. She made a mistake and ordered Gourmet DIY liquid on one of them. She is wanting to know if she can just vape this or if she needs to mix it with something. The gourmet liquid says These are made with bases of water, ethyl alcohol, and natural and artificial flavors. This was her first order and she did not consult me prior to placing her order.

Looks to me like she can vape it, but those are just flavorings. No nicotine content. Typically used to make your own e-juice, hence the DIY. I would be hesitant to vape it straight, but I don't see why you couldn't. It would probably be an extreme flavor and might burn up on and/or burn out your atty.

Could she put it in with another flavor that she has, say vanilla for example?

Sure, but anything you add to existing juice would lower the nicotine content. It may not be by much depending on the ratio of new flavor to existing juice, but you are essentially diluting the current juice. I don't have a link handy but there are a few calculators out there to figure out how much it would dilute it.

Ok, so if she mixed a small bottle of the vanilla and this flavor, would a mixture of 2 1/2 ml vanilla and 1/2 ml of the DIY be ok, you think?

Personally, I think tybin was right. You want to try it a little bit at time because you could completely ruin your existing flavor by adding to much of the new flavor. Trial and error kind of thing...

I didn't run the numbers, but that seems like a LOT of extra flavoring, I'd just add it a few drops at a time and drip and taste till its right.

She could also buy some premixed unflavored PG/VG in any ratio w/ her choice of nicotine at FreedomSmokeUSA and some empty bottles for an easy though inexact way to use the flavoring. (inexact because as you add flavoring you are changing the PG/VG ratio and lowering the nicotine level a bit).

I know I saw some other place that had premixed PG/VG+nic for a bit less than FSUSA but I don't remember where.

Just to clarify - a few drops of of the flavoring should be good for 1 or 2ml of whatever liquid it's being added to. Probably obvious, but just in case
