HI there , i have been trying to successfully get a good flavor from my mixes but failing . I got TPA flavors. So far none of it is giving me any good flavor or at-least vaperable flavor. it taste like it's muted. I'm using a 48mg nic base. Used the iphone ejuice calculator. My nic base is 100% pg. My ratio is 70pg/30vg.

I have tried more than 10 different flavors today as i'm out of juice and nothing taste at-least vaperable for me. Any help or advice guys? Also is it normally for a Nic base to be in light brown in color? thanks

What TFA flavors do you have?
What percentage are you using them at?
Are you mixing single flavors or multiple flavors? (If multiple, which are you mixing together and at what ratio? (ex. 30% chocolate / 70% peanut butter)

Nic base being a light brown should be fine .. it has been exposed to air. After a while, it could turn a little darker (reminiscent of orange).

I have so far tried most of them . this are the flavors that i have:

raspberry
blackberry
blueberry
lychee
black cherry
strawberry
black honey
tobacco flavour
dk tobacoo
menthol flavour (this i tried at 15% and was just too much for me )
boysenberry
mint candy
smooth flavour
irish cream

This are all samples. i'm using them or trying them out at 15-20%
i'm mixing single flavours ,yes

Please tell me what i'm doing wrong or it just taste like it's muted

I think you have your flavoring levels way too high. You'll want to dilute those down to about 5-10%, and some even lower than that. I think the menthol, for instance, is plenty strong at 2%. Tobaccos also are quite strong, so lower percentages with those.

But I'm also concerned about the "brown" nic base. It usually turns yellow, not brown. You might want to try an unflavored mix, just to make sure your nic base is ok, before adding in the flavors.

The bolded fruits ones above need to be a LOT lower (the blueberry if it's blueberry xtra). Maybe start those between 2 and 5%. Boysenberry and raspberry might need a little time to mellow out after you mix them. Try leaving the cap off for a while. Bring the rest of your fruits down to 5-ish percent. Maybe 10. TFA fruits are GREAT. I really enjoy them all.

Tobacco flavors need to be around 2% too.

Does smooth work on its own? I thought it was used to "smooth" out other flavors?

Bring the rest of your mixes down to 5-10% like the person above me said.

Once you've added too much flavoring, the taste will start to go away, like it's muted. Sounds weird, too much flavoring should mean wayy too much flavor, right? No, it's a strange thing, when you add too much, the flavor can go away. I wish I knew where the explanation for that was, but it's a classic sign of way too much flavor.

You can definitely add in a bit of raspberry. I'm not sure how well that'll drop your nic. And it will be hard to recreate it with the same %. But it will work.

How many mls of this 5% raspberry did you make?

tired to make a sample try out with 5ml. As i'm running out of flavours after so many trials and errors. And i need to wait for atleast 10 days if i were to order them . so i can go ahead and add in a few drops?

Yeah that should be fine for now, for sure. Looks like you're starting to get this down!

Just remember, start low, it's much easier to add a couple drops, than it is to dilute something that's too strong!

I'd say leave the cap open for maybe a day.. Then cap it up and leave it alone for as long as you can. Non-tobaccos won't take long at all. Fruits should be the fastest. Then your sweet and creamy. Then tobaccos (take the longest to "mature").

If you're out of juice, go ahead and vape anything that you enjoy right now. If you really hate something (and it's mixed at a good, low%), put it away and come back to in a week.

Good luck!

Some fruit advice!

Blackberry and blueberry go very well together.
Blackberry + blueberry + strawberry very is nice too! ;)
Add a drop (or so) of menthol to any fruits you mix up. Makes them shine!

for the blackberry+blueberry+strawberry... What should the percentage be for each of them? 5% each? i would like to try them now lol

I made a 4-part berry (with raspberry) a week ago, and did 3% each strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and 4% blackberry. It was too strong when I tasted it a couple days ago. (I have since added a drop of menthol and a little Ethyl Maltol.. going to re-test soon).

I'd say start with 3% each, and add a little of whatever flavor(s) you want to be the strongest. So you'd start off at 9% total flavor and work up from there. Remember, it's easier to add a little flavoring than try to add back PG VG and nicotine to lower flavor %.

Ok point noted.. start low and increase if i need more ;) Going to follow that advice. Thank you
