I have a recipe that I want to make at a 80/20 vg/pg mix. However the recipe is a 50/50 vg/pg. Should I add more flavor to it for taste?

I would not, at least at first. It's a lot easier to add flavoring than to dilute it down. Some people feel VG mutes flavor, others say it just steeps more slowly.

At any rate, I would start with the recipe as is, which will provide a baseline from which you can adjust as (if) needed.

I just finished doing something similar and used HotRod's juice Calculator. If you haven't settled on a calculator may I recommend having a look at his... it's very good. Under the Tools tab cursor down to "Modify Existing Recipe" and key in your finite ingredients and ratios... it will tell you quickly what can be accomplished... with your existing mix...

You could also look at the reply HotRod made to my thread "Modifying Existing PG/VG eliquid ratios and see if you can follow his logic... I don't know how to reference another thread in a post but it should be easy enough to find...

keep asking questions there's a great and friendly user base here in these forums...

As long as you bought some Plain VG as well you should not have too much trouble getting to the Mix you want with 100mg nicotine VG.

If you didnt buy Plain VG you will need some to get 80% VG mix and lower the Nicotine levels.

Otherwise the lowest you could get with an 80% VG mix with 100mg VG is 80mg nicotine.

And I would start with lower % of flavors as suggested then add a little more if its not strong enough.
