I'm just about to stock up on liquids, thinking that with 2016 being unsure, it's a good precaution.

Just wondering the quantity I'd need to buy for my purpose. I know about storage, I've read the threads - I won't attempt opening the bottles until I'm 100% sure I can do it safely.

What I wanted to know is, how do I know how much I'm going to need? If I smoke 2ml a day of 12mg nic, how much would one litre of 72mg nicotine make? I want 40 years worth, especially now I know long term storage is possible.

TIA, Andrea

The steam-engine calculator is probably your best best.
DIY e-juice | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

At 2ml per day, 40 years of juice is 14,600 days * 2ml = 29,200ml, so 29.2 litres of 12mg/ml juice needed.

According to steam engine, to make a litre of 50/50 VG/PG liquid at 12mg/ml (assuming no flavourings) using 72mg/ml nic base you need:
166.67ml of nic,
494 ml of VG
339.33 ml of PG

166.67 ml of nic for 1 litre * 29.2 litres of juice required = 4866.76 ml of nic solution required.

It'll be less if you're adding flavours of course. I expect 4.5 litres will do it.

That's great, thanks. I'll be using a calculator, so I'll have a look at the one you used. I'm getting a lesson in DIY from my local vaping store, plus watching every video I can find. I'm a bit nervous but mostly I'm looking forward to it!

Yeah, I'll be using flavours - RY4, bubblegum and butterscotch. I'm going to buy a couple of litres today, I've managed to find 1 litre of 72mg nic for £69.99. That seems the cheapest so far.

I thought its a little exessive but after seeing whats been happening lately That doesn't seem like a bad investment at all! I live in europe and i usually buy my nic off the uk, would you mind telling ahich website have you gotten that price from? Cheers!

I just bought mine from Bluestar eliquids. I know, I've had a few funny looks but I'm not taking any chances.

edit: if you enter blue72014 at the checkout, you get 7% discount. Free delivery too (although I'm in the UK)

Good info in this thread. Things do seem like they could tank come 2016.

I'm just not taking any chances. Over here, vaping is really taking off and our government is losing a lot of money. If you didn't know, a pack of 20 cigs over here averages at £8.70 ($13). £6 of which is tax. I wouldn't put anything past them when it comes to recouping their losses.

This is my way of flipping them the bird :)

I keep 2 or 3 500ml bottles of 100 mg in the freeze, r @ 6mg final that's a lot of juice when I need to open one I instantly buy another to replace it.

I can't speak for your side of the pond, but here already companies are changing usage labels to get in the loopholes, bug killer? Cleaner? Really? Soon we will just get it at the gardening center instead of a vape shop lol
