Hi, I am new here and have been following the smallest repairable atomizer thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/237114-smallest-repairable-atomizer-15.html and I am wanting to make my first atomizer, but I would like it to be sort of like a tank, whether its bottom fed, top fed, or whatever it would be named  I am pretty new to all of this, and I know in the thread it says that the way meatsneakers made his that it is possible to make it bottom fed but I do not know where or how to start, and I have looked at others to kind of get an idea but I am not understanding where the fluid is being held at.. if anyone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Hi & Welcome to ECF! I haven't gotten into these things (repairable atomizers) yet but from what you're describing you'd like to build (sort of like a tank) I'd suggest looking at a number of designs of the CE2, CE4, etc., then at other wicking design options to see what you can come up with. Best of luck! :toast:

Thank you for your reply! I have some spare fluxomizers.. I guess I'm kinda looking for a similar, simple design.. like the fluxomizer has a ceramic? cup which is what holds the coil in one place but what should I use to make some sort of moulding just like that but without taking parts off of another device? I have heard of others using teflon, but I have also heard teflon as bad toxins or something and its not recommended to be used. I have a bunch more questions like should i use stainless steel mesh as my wick or to go with the standard cotton? wick. Thanks again :D

I definitely would not use Teflon for that very reason. I think I would use stainless steel mesh as a wick. As for a cup, you might consider options with which a cup would not be needed. Just a little thought from my cave here: the most functionally elegant solutions are the most simple, and the simplest are the most often overlooked. We Humans tend to over-complicate almost everything, I suppose because it makes us feel smarter. :)

Couple of suggestions: first, take your time & read all you can about how such things have been done *so far*. But while you're doing that, constantly consider deviations - other ways the same thing could have been accomplished - each step of the way. Most of the things you think of probably won't be nearly as good as whatever the (presumably) more experienced designer came up with in his model, but a few may be better, or at least worth playing with. And KEEP NOTES.

I don't know how knowledgeable you are about electricity & electronics but you'll need a good foundation here in order to grasp precisely what it is you're trying to achieve. Main thing, keep an open, inquisitive mind & realize there's a lot more stuff right under our noses we haven't noticed yet than all the stuff we're aware exists. We all just need to pay more attention.

Best of luck, & celebrate all your little victories (they'll add up over time) :D
