DIY section is hundreds of pages and posts, I don't think anyone can encapsulate that down for you in one post.

Just start reading widely in DIY area and you will learn everything you need to learn.....

..... but it does require time and effort.....just like taking a class to learn something, or reading a large book on a subject.

There are also a lot of YouTube videos on how to mix, etc. which will help you "see" the process.

Congrats on your decision to try DIY ......get to know your flavorings real well, the nic base you like, and the %percentages that taste good to you for each manufacturer and flavoring. My tip to you for process is to mix everything in plain pg/vg base (no nicotine) until you know what you like, that way you won't waste more expensive nic base. :)

Welcome to the forum!

Once you have a few more posts, you can post in the DIY section.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/

What items did you purchase? I would suggest you start out very simple- 1 or 2 flavor eliquids.

Post the items you've purchased and we can help get you started.

Your best bet is to get your 5 posts then go to the DIY section of General e-liquids Discussion. There you'll find all sorts of help with whichever flavor manufacturer's products you've chosen. If you're using TPA/TFA flavors, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/336110-flavor-apprentice-flavoring-thread.html is really excellent, especially the past 6 months or so (it's a huge thread, so unless you've got A LOT of time, pick it up about 6 months ago, which will still be a lot of reading). But there's all sorts of information there about the flavors, equipment, theory of mixing, recipes... Very helpful people, too!

Looks like maybe you're there!
The permissions can have a delay - like when the server refreshes or something, so it could be a few minutes...

There is a TON of info in the DIY area - I did a lot of reading, got some ideas, ordered my stuff and never looked back.
Got lucky right away with some mixes I liked, and now, my FAVORITE FLAVOR is my own, and costs me under $0.06/ml.
:D

hi everyone. funny that that's exactly what i'm trying to do. to get my first 5 newbie posts so i can get into the diy section

Truthfully, I'm a K.I.S.S. mixer.

Once I started getting the hang of my flavor bases, I do most of my batches in 10mL bottles (the math is a little easier for me that way.) I'm not hyped on having an exact PG/VG ratio. I measure flavors into my bottle and then top off with my 50/50 base. Even with my flavor measurements, I'm not 100% precise, but I'm in my own ballpark and am content with that. Of the 500-600mL that I've made over the past few months, I've only had about 30mL that I've deemed "completely unvapeable"

I do make note of #drops or approximate mL (if I'm using a pipette), and I'll write that on the label. That way, if it's really great, I can replicate it when the bottle empties.

Other mixers may crucify me, but I'm the one vaping the juice, so I'm not concerned with anything more than that....

Good luck. It's quite fun. Start SMALL and get the hang of things before you launch into 10-flavor mixes ;)
