I've looked through the DIY e-juice threads and can't find anything on Tobacco flavors..

I know I can purchase pre flavored tobacco e-juice (it seems that some are from tobacco extracts and some are not)

I'm wondering about a DIY tobacco flavor recipe not from a tobacco extraction.
I would love some ideas on good flavors to start the research from.

Thanx..

I've a new e-cig user. (2 weeks without analogs)
I got a JOYE 510 Mega and a tobacco sampler.
I have 5 bottles of tobacco concentrate and 5 bottles of other concentrate flavors on the way from Totally Wicked, along with the Nic juice and PG.

Tobacco absolute is what I use for tobacco flavor. It's a viscous liquid and must be diluted. I mix 3 drop TA to 5ml PGA/5ml VG for a 1/100 mix. I use this diluted mix by the drop in juices. It's potent stuff, so I use ~2-3 drop/ml. I add other flavors for flavored tobacco blends (caramel, chocolate, cappuccino, etc).

It comes in 1 dram containers from onestopDIYshop.com

I'm trying to be "tobacco free". That said, I still use a tobacco flavoring, but it's not Tobacco Absolute (a tobacco extract-all-flavors thing) but rather a flavor-chemical mix made from the ground up. It's not 100% spot on flavor, but works for me. See the PA flavors site:

Perfumers Apprentice - Tobacco Flavors (no natural tobacco)

To each their own. BTW....

I've looked through the DIY e-juice threads and can't find anything on Tobacco flavors..
Really? There is quite a bit here.........

I read all that stuff.. It's all just "check out this tobacco flavor"..

That's cool, and I just got sum tobacco and other flavors from TW in the mail today and I'll prolly get more in the future, but I'm lookin' for a recipe to make my own, as AttyPops said, "from the ground up".

I figure, since I'm getting into flavoring my own liquids why not play with creating my own tobacco flavor.
I just wanted to ask cause, out of all the info available in that section, that's about the only thing not covered, or mentioned.. I'm not looking for an exact recipe, cause I'm sure the exact recipes are guarded closely by manufactures, but I was just interested in ballpark ratios and flavors that when combined may closely mimic the taste of freshly dried (cured) tobacco.

Mostly what I'm curious about is what I refer to as "bite".. When u open a fresh pack of cigs and smell them, they seem to have an almost spicy scent (bite)..

I guess the tobacco absolute may be my best bet, since that is an extract and prolly already has "bite"..

Allabout - all them flavours out there and you want .......tobacco ?

To each their own. But if you're off analogs then you are a free man (taste wise). You have a whole host of flavours to choose from.

Did tobacco ever taste good ?I'm asking myself this more and more as i try and vape away all the tobacco flavour liquid i ordered.

Good luck with it.

I like the way the tobacco flavors taste like a fresh pack of cigarettes smells (not while burning). That was one of my favorite things about smoking.

But I also got strawberry tart, cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla and rootbeer (rootbeer smells awesome and is the strongest smell from the bottle)

I just figured it could be something to play around with. Might not really b worth the effort..

who knows..

It is made by flavor chemists. See the site in that post above. They discuss the flavor components. I don't know how you would get "essence of oak, essence of _____" to do it yourself. There are threads on DIY tobacco extracts, but I avoid that since I'm trying for tobacco free e-juice.

The DIY section in general will tell you about mixing stuff up. For a tobacco flavored e-juice, I mix about 5 - 10 drops PA tobacco flavor (non-tobacco) in about 10 ml of juice already at my desired strength and PG/VG ratio, if that helps. Depends on the flavoring. Also, sometimes a bit of caramel or vanilla (just as a background flavor).

10 ml lasts me 3 days or so. So I sometimes "stack" flavors on day two, then a bit more on day three. Not much effort.

You really need to check out that DIY stuff for more info.
