This is my first post, though I have been reading the forums for quite some time. My question should go to the DIY forum, but since I'm a newbe, I'm stuck here for a while.
I am on a quest to create a tobacco juice that tastes like tobacco, has a great throat hit, but IS NOT SWEET! I have tried numerous e-liquids from all the major suppliers, and every one of them fell short -except for one. Most either didn't taste like tobacco or were too sweet. The only one that comes close to what I'm looking for is the Cigar flavor from bestecigs. It literally has no sweetness at all and tastes and smells like burning tobacco. I thought I had finally found my vape until they recently changed their recipe. It now has what I would describe as a "berry" undertone to the flavor. I was very sad!
So, my last ditch effort is to create my own juice. I've ordered all of the basic ingredients (PG, VG, tobacco concentrates) from several suppliers. I received my first order today from TheVaporPro, including their tobacco concentrate. VG is naturally sweet, so I thought I would try a PG mix only. Well, to my surprise, the PG had sweetness to it. Not as bad as VG, but still it was sweet. The tobacco concentrate tastes and smells almost exactly like pipe tobacco, but when I enhale, I get this sweet flavor.
I need help/advice on producing a juice that has absolutely no sweetness at all. I know it's possible because bestecigs is doing it. I just ordered their flavorless 18mg liquid and I'm anxious to try it out. Needless to say, I am very frustrated at the moment that I cannot find what I am looking for. I'm probably an anomaly since many people like some sweetness in their juice, but that's not what I want.
Maybe some DIY folks will read this post.
