Glass is more accurate to me.... the meniscus is much "cleaner" in glass vs plastic ie..you can read what's in the pipette more accurately... but I'm a little picky from my days locked in a lab during grad school. So absolutely nothing wrong with plastic at all, just my little quirk....not like one drop one way or the other is going to make a difference at my state of DIY learning....lmao
Also, glass is more of a pain to clean and of course you have the potential for breakage -- most glass pipettes are close to 10" long and very easy to damage -- the tips can be extremely fine..... I only would use or want glass for something I really need to measure very accurately. Also the bulb on the plastic pipettes protects you if you are sucking up say a strong nicotine sol'n. You don't want to get a mouthful of super strong nic sol'n in your mouth if using a glass pipette. I never liked using the bulbs on glass pipettes to draw up sol'n....always used my mouth to draw up the fluids..... that was back in the days when I thought I was immortal. lol

I was thinking more in terms of leaching of the plastic. That would be more of a concern. I think you are right for this kind of stuff plastic would be adequate as far as accuracy goes. I was thinking of ordering some burettes instead of pipettes. Glass would be a lot more expensive and that's not even counting breakage.

As far as working with strong nicotine solutions it would make more sense to dilute 30 to 60 millimeters to your working concentration. In my case it would be 12 mg. That way you could you wouldn't be handling the stronger stuff as often. But I have only been vaping since last month so what do I know. Haven't even started to mix juice yet. I still need to order some flavors, I hve the nicotine VG and PG.

A burette does make sense. Great way to get a controlled amount of fluid. And could have a set up with your most used flavorings. But as you said, it wold be much more expensive not counting breakage. And quite honestly, the glass would just be sort of a "treat" to work with again. The plastic pipettes are perfectly adequate for the purposes we are using them for. It's not like we are compounding medicines.....lol. I get along just fine with the plastic, but could not resist mentioning glass when the "question" was posed several posts ago about "what else would you like to see carried". Thinking about glass now, it would most likely be more trouble than it would be worth.

Good point on the nicotine sol'n. Dilute it down to your regular working strength and then you are done handling it. You are certainly on the right track. I don't care how long someone has been doing this, like anything else, you can always learn something new. Can't get complacent. That's when accidents happen.

Ordering flavors is so hard, yet fun for me. She has so many to choose from from and the combination of different ones makes it even more fun. I just like to look through the selection thinking of what would go well with what. (sort of a silly sentence there...lol). But I think you know what I mean. DIY is one of those things that you can work at for years perfecting that perfect juice for yourself. Great fun!!
