Merry Christmas!!!
I placed my first DIY supplies and flavor order last week & I wanted to ask if there is anything I should know before I attempt to make my first batch of juice or is it just a trial and error learning experience? Is there anything u know now, that u wish u knew before u started??? or does anyone have any helpful tips or tricks that will come in handy along my DIY journy? Thank you in advance!!!!
:)

dont make big batches is first, nothing worse then realizing you made 30 ml's of nasty juice and have to toss it..
Always come back to something thats not so great, what i mean is after a few days if the juice is meh leave it a few more days and try it again. sometimes flavors can take a while to develop correctly.

Pay attention, be careful, label everything and take good notes.
nothing worse then not writing stuff down and not being able to remake a juice you fall in love with.

If you havent already, download ejuicemeup program. probably the best calculator for mixing, there are some good webbased programs but what to do if internet fails?

Have fun and make sure you let us know how it goes... good luck :)

One thing I learned when I first started DIY is "less is best". Everyone's tastes are different, just because one person uses 20% flavoring does not mean everyone will like that %. I made my first DIY samples at 20% and hated all of it. Went back to buying eliquids. A month later I decided to try it again and this time I tried it at 10%. Still didnt like it. But I didnt give up .. I diluted it down to 5% and it was perfect for me. Since then all of my DIY has been at 5% and some of it is much less than that. I've been DIYing for over a year now and love it, it's all I vape. So my best advice is start with less .. you can always add more later. And my 2nd advice is make very small samples, until you find your happy place. Good luck and welcome to DIY.

There is some joker that has been mixing for a few years that took all his mistakes with mixing his own liquids and blogged them so others could learn from it. If I recall correctly one covers flavoring levels and another covers rules, but I can't remember what the third one covers.

I think he goes by the name "Hoosier" and you can find the blog by clicking the blue number "3" below his avatar.

You should look him up or something...

I recently started DIY and take an extremely easy approach. I mix my Nic/VG solution together and then just add drops of super concentrate flavors in what I'm vaping. Www.vapingzone.com among a few other places offer these concentrated juices! Best news is it's easy, tastes great and cheap! I vape about 6ml a day and the cost is about a quarter a day for me!
