Hey guys, thinking about getting into making my own juice, any good cheap places to get supplies? What size bottles of base and mixers should I get? Are there any methods people use here they want to share?

Welcome to ECF! I'm not sure as I don't DiY yet..I will someday though. I believe there are sections in this forum that discuss DiY. You can go there and see what's up. Alot of very informative people here, that will help with pretty much anything vape like.
Do It Yourself E-Liquid (E-Juice) Recipe Mixing Station!
Most of the questions you have asked depend on what you vape. I personally use 24mg nic juices. I buy my vg and pg in the gallon size from Essential Depot and have been very pleased with their product as well as fast shipping.
There are so many flavorings brands. I have used many but what I like to use now are the gourmet and super concentrated flavorings from Vaping Zone. The cost a tiny bit more but you use so little in a recipe that I feel like it is more economical.
Nic can be purchased any way you like. I started out using 60mg in pg base but have switched to 100mg base. I have only purchased nic from 3 vendors but my favorite is RTS Vapes and My Freedom Smokes.

DIY is easy, just a bit more complicated than making sunny side up eggs. DIY is a bit dangerous, just a bit more dangerous than making sunny side up eggs (eggs - bacteria, DIY - concentrated nicotine). Go to special DIY subforum and read stickies.

Mixing is easy
Mixing something vapeable not so easy
Mixing something delicious = at least a few 100mls of garbage and some time.
vg and pg from essentials depot is pretty standard recommendations. Bull City Vapor, wizard labs, ecig express, vaping zone, and nude nicotine are all great places for flavors, nicotine, supplies, etc. TFA, Capellas, inawera, vaping zone, and flavour art all have great flavors. PG based flavors are easier to start. The alcohol based flavors seem to take more finesse and steep time to get right. At least this has been my experience.
SO a liter of PG and VG along with 120ml of Nicotine solution will get you started and the Nicotine is not necessary to start. Grab a few flavors and read up on the way people sweeten and tweak flavors to get those additives. AP, Marshmallow, Sweetener, Malic Acid, EM, Citric Acid, and MTS Vape wizard are the basic additives. Their are others but these will be important.
You are going to mix some gross things to start. be ready to make the poo face here and there.
Edit - read the stickies about nicotine safety and get a few syringes and blunt tip needles for measuring. And record everything you put in a mix. I made a great custard when I started mixing. Not a clue what was in it.

I have been mixing for 18 months or so and it so normal now to knock a 100ml in about 5 mins. I get pharmaceutical grade 1Litre of PG off ebay - £6.50 posted. I buy my VG from Boots the chemist for £1.29/200ml. I have 100 ml of 72 Nic (strongest). I buy 6 bottles of capella flavouring every other month, 10ml bottles.
I use 100 ml bottles because the math is easy. 5ml of nic first then put away, wash hands, done. 2 bottles of flavouring 2x10 ml ( Lemon merangue is fave ATM). That adds up to 25ml, so whats left in the bottle I guess about 20% of the remaining room and pour in PG, then fill to the top with VG. If using on Genesis atties I add alittle boiled water to the mix to make runnier so it wicks the top coils better. Shake vigourously and nuke for 12 secs and shake again. Leave for a week to steep, hey presto start using. As long as very careful with the poisonous stuff, the rest is easy peasy. Watch you tube vids for extra info. Hope this helps
