had questions about making juice.
Before I start ordering online I looked at Walmart they have lorann oils flavorings, and usp vg. Do I need pg?
I've been vaping max pg lately, is that the same? Just wanted to try small batch to see how it goes first, if it's something I want to get into.
Anything to look out for on flavors or is any flavor ok?

Tony, I wouldn't use the flavorings you find at Wallyworld, they are probably oil based and NOT for vaping. They do sell VG (USP grade ONLY) at Wallyworld and I have used it before. Diy is not too difficult if you've read and prepared for it. 1. Watch You tube video's on DIY. 2. Prepare an ingredient list from looking at recipes and taking notes on the flavors used. 3. Read some more. 4. understand the ejuice calculators. 5. Read some more. 6. Only buy PROPER ingredients.

Hopefully theses links will help.

Thanks, anything to stay away from as far as flavors?

Stay away from flavors that have OIL. You can use any flavors sold under my above post ""DIY SUPPLIERS"" . Start by looking at Wizard Labs, or Bull City, or ECig Express, you'll get an idea of costs and available flavors, then look for some recipes.

Found list with lorann flavors, lists which are oil based.

Meant vg sorry .
Oh, I should have realized that. Still waking up over here. I was in the same situation, asked the same question. So I got 32oz VG and I got a small 250ml PG. It couldn't hurt to get a small bottle of PG. Worse case you don't use it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it

Read the Loranns bottle, some are oils and some flavoring. Don't use the oils but Loranns flavorings is how I got started in making my own juice. I found Loranns flavors at the Bulk Barn so it don't matter where you get them. I was changing some of my commercial juices, liked it and went ahead and bought a load of DIY supplies and now I vape my own juices.
Some of Loranns flavors have a lot of coloring in them like the grape, cola, banana and others so if you can get past that then they are good to go.

May order online if things go well, just trying it first, trying to save money, and have hard time finding good flavors. Mostly to save$$$

Most of the recipes you now vape probably have 4 or 5 flavors in them. PG & VG, and nicotine. I use the 100mg nicotine as I have no children here and treat it as safely as drain cleaner. It is probably the easiest to work with in a calculator/ head math. You can start small, VG from wallyworld is about 5 bucks for 6 ounces, 20 bucks for nicotine (guess), 10 to 15 for PG (guess), 20 bucks in flavors to make 3 or 4 recipes (find recipes first before ordering flavors), a few syringes (1ml -6 or more {one for each flavor}, a 10ml, a few 3 to 5 ml, and a 20 ml), gloves and goggles (optional but recommended for noobs), bottles 10 bucks (glass is easily reusable, ask friends for their old empties and wash them), etc... It can be expensive to start, but if you start the correct way, using the links I have above, it will save you lots of money in the long run, especially if you sub ohm (juice guzzler) or make juice for a friend or spouse.

I hate to take over his thread real quick and ask, but where can i buy bulk syringes? Might as well get that answered for the both of us.

Look on Amazon or ebay for bulk syringes, I just got 100 1ml for 10 bucks, (needle tips not included).

Ok, thanks, btw, I'm at 0 nic.dont have to worry about that, didn't think about syringes for each flavor.if it doesn't go well I may stick with juice vendors, we'll see.

Tony, DIY is pretty awesome! I started last summer. I just keep it as simple as possible. I checked out a lot of ejuice recipe sites and "borrowed" from there.

I also started with LorAnn flavorings (I think I grabbed a 24-pack of 3ml bottles from Amazon, staying away from anything "oil".) As I've matured (well, o.k. made more juice ;) ) I am finding that some flavors need "helpers". I have some CAP flavorings - some of which I can use alone. Most of my flavors are now TFA, and there's some methodology on multi-flavor mixing.

Start simple, and start low. You can easily add a couple drops or 0.1 ml, or however you choose to measure. Certain flavors will need some "settling" time before they come into their own as an incredible vape....

Good Luck

Sir2... Thank you so much for the awesome links to diy supplies. It had to have taken you quite a bit of time. It's really appreciated !! I've not seen such a concise listing anywhere else. I've been diy-ing for maybe 8 months and I'm still experimenting. And still using the KISS system for most of my recipes :)

I like MFS. Good prices. I use RTS also. Both offer starter kits. Personally to start I would get the nic in the strength you want in the base you use most. (I only use VG), then a bottle of VG and maybe PG if your going to use it. A few flavors. A 1,3 and 10ml needle and some bottles. Your good to go for a while

Lorann Flavor Dropss are mostly meant for making candies. I'm not saying they can't be used, but one thing I don't like is they add food colouring. It does nothing to add to the flavour and we don't want to vape anything that doesn't add to the final product. You also will want to add some VG, otherwise you won't produce much vapor with straight PG.
