there can be a small adjustment period.............my first puffs were the same. It is the nicotine hitting. A small sign of overdose. Give it a break til you feel better then start up again. It shouldn't keep doing it. If it does your nicotine in your cartridges is too strong.

after my first 5 puffs......I didn't vape or want a smoke for almost 2 hours..

Hello- I just tried my first e-smoke and right off I got dizzy and then the headache. Ive tried to do a search for these symptoms but it didnt quit answer my issues. Thanks for your input:thumbs:
What is the strength of the cartridge you're using? Sounds as if you may be hitting it too many times too close together, or that the nicotine content is just too high. Try slowing down a bit, the "hit" doesn't happen normally for about 10 minutes, so you may be just over-doing it a bit. You should start feeling better within half an hour, if not, I would definitely go to a smaller nic number (density). Let us know if this all helps define your problem. If you feel like you need to go lay down, it's got to be too much, or too quickly. Yah'm, I know it's hard to stop puffing, it's so good! And YES, if you have a 0 nic liquid you can mix the two to cut the high one down. LOOK at my banner, I just made 99 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbs:(without any trouble at all!)well, hardly any....had trouble with batteries, atomizers, but have successfully transferred my addiction to e-juice!

this exact same thing happened to me when I first opened my e-cig. I took a break and after I felt better it didn't happen again. So try that first. (no need to cut the mg's quite yet) You have probably been smoking all day up until now, and it could be an overlap of the 2 different things.

And yes definitely let us know if this helps.

Don't smoke and vape - combining the two will give you Nicotine poisoning.
I did recieve my e-smoke today, in which I have been smoking regular cigs up until then. I did a primer puff, than a regular hit and the e-smoke hit hard and harsh, then the dizziness and headaches. I will try to start a smoke in the morning with the e-cig to test it. Any other advice is appericated.

Thanks-
Drema

Thanks Gashin- To be sure I will start the morning out tomorrow with the e-cig, but when I got dizzy and the headache I had a regular smoke about 1/2 hr before, so maybe it was to close.

I told the hubs about the nico posioning and he said no, he doesnt think this happened, I will do a follow up tomorrow. Now if I cut my juice with VG will this help?

ps- I am not vaping and smoking at once

Hi Drema,

Yes you could dilute the nicotine with VG if the strength you're using is too high. I got the same symptoms that you did when I first started, but I was also smoking around half a pack a day. I got used to it after about a week and have rarely gotten headaches and nausea since.
