DMM checking ohms

My DMM it shows only one digit when checking for ohms on my builds. Am I doing something wrong or is a crap DMM? There is any specification on the box when I go to a store to buy a new one? How do I know which one shows two digits.
I'm asking because my ohmeter is showing weird numbers and jumps from .25 to 0.58 for no reason and I don't wanna venture in anything stupid.

Note: I set the DMM on the lowest position on ohm reading which is marked as 200. The next one is 2k so I assume the 200 is the lowest setting.

If your reading is jumping on your ohm meter, chances are you have a loose screw on your atty. Tighten them up and try again. As far as DMM's go, both mine just read to the nearest 1/10th too.

.25 is (2) digits
Jumping is loose connection - Coil or meter lead contact

I will check on that no question asked but is always a good thing to have a second device opinion. I will probably buy a different brand of ohmeter so I'll have something as a back-up. The DMM tho was something trustful but unfortunately with one digit is not really useful.
