Sorry, I know there's probably a bazillion topics like these but I am having trouble deciding on a new PV to get. I've always wanted a Provari but can't justify the cost but decided I should just get one PV to end them all, so I'm not constantly searching for the next better thing. However, I have also really wanted one of those DNA20 NES controller mods, and other than the long wait, it costs a little less than a Provari. I don't like waiting but I guess I don't really have a choice if I want a new one so I am willing to wait. I am a pretty casual vaper though, don't really go through a lot of juice in one day and am dabbling in rebuildables but not that into it. If wait and cost weren't an issue, what would you recommend for me?

It depends on what you want out of a PV. If you are a casual vaper, as you stated, a Provari will probably be the best choice for you. They are built like tanks and last forever, and if anything were to ever go wrong with it, Provape will stand behind it and fix it under warranty for 1 year or 2 years with the extended warranty, or for a very reasonable price if out of the warranty period.

I love the look of the NES DNA mod, I would love to have one, but being made out of plastic, it would be for home use only, in my case at least, I would fear breaking it.

Another thing is, the lowest setting in the DNA is too warm for a lot of people, specially on clearomizers and other non RBA's.

I've had a Provari mini for almost a year and a half now and still love it, use mechs with rebuildables, and have a DNA30 on order.

Argh... I really don't need any more PVs, I am a light vaper and already have several that I use daily and my iTaste VV3s which I've had for a while is still in good working condition. I guess I mainly just want a good tube mod to go with my new Kayfun lite, it just wouldn't look right on my iTaste VV3 and my MVP is the first edition so it doesn't read ohms/resistance so I don't want to use the Kayfun with it. I have a Versa VV, some Twist/Spinners, and a Vmod mini as well, the only thing I don't have is a real tube mod. The Versa VV is kind of a tube mod but it's 510 connection is seated in a weird place so it still wouldn't look right on it.

Now that I think about it, I am feeling a little more cheapo and am considering the Zmax mini or the Mini Burst mod on ebay, which looks like a smaller Ijoy Etop, which I can't find any info on at all on these forums. Don't get me wrong, I still kinda want a Provari but the $200ish price still puts me off. Ok.. truth is, I mainly don't want my boyfriend to get mad at me for spending so much money on e-cig stuff.

eek I'm having the same debate in my head! I want a provari soooo bad I feel like I'm obsessed with this thing and I dont even have one.
I'm also a light vapor, have the itaste vv 3.0 an the mvp2 shine edition so I know my husband will be SO mad at me when I buy a provari but the time is nearing LOL I can't wait much longer....I'm planning to get mine from the classifieds, have you been checking there?

ETA: if you arent picky about color, the satin silver mini with red LED is $159.95 that's not too horrible free shipping and no taxes.

IMO the ProVari is really showing its age. I'd wait for a new version, or new versions of china mods like the Zmax before purchasing something new.

Personally, I wouldn't buy any new regulated mod under 30w unless it was sub $100. There is a lot of advancement going on in the VV field, give it some time.

Funny, I wouldn't buy any mod that pushed 30+ watts unless it was under $100. Having to run 2-3 ohm coils just to keep my juice from being burnt, doesn't appeal to me.

Edit: The "...advancement going on in the VV field," is the Chinese playing catch-up. The Chinese are still losing. The MVP 2.0 is close, but no cigar.

You won't burn your juice at 30+ watts if you have enough airflow. If people did, why is sub ohming so popular? You think folks like tasting burned juice?

Why would you have to run 2-3 ohm coils? That makes no sense. If you had to run 2-3 ohm coils on a DNA mod, you would have to run 2-3 ohm coils on a mechanical mod as well.

Also, have you tried the latest generation of Chinese mods with the 20 and 22 watt chips?
