I will agree good round cells are adequate for there size and shape, plus fairly convenient. However if you want more capacity multiple round cells are no match for size, performance, and capacity that you can get out of quality lipo's. My favorite lipo is my Turnigy Nano-Tech A Spec 6000mah 65c, the foot print is smaller than my iphone5 and about twice as thick.

It's easy to lose sight of sizing when there is such a large difference in form factor, but at 93x47x18mm two 18650s are significantly smaller than that pack and can rate out at 5800-6000mah with top notch PV performance (Panasonic, LG, etc.). That pack is volumetrically the size of about 4.75 18650s.

lol......each to their own......but once you get it out of the plastic box its ~81x42x16mm so thats actually 3.025 X "volumetrically" and 3 X the capacity....and I'm pretty sure a 20 watt load doesn't even begin to wake it up, let alone break a sweat.

Nor does it with 2 or 3 18650s ... Not criticizing, just saying. I was surprised to find that good round cells compare very well with LiPos in the same space, and sometimes better. LiPos have a habit of not coming in convenient sizes for ecigs, most are flat, long and/or wide.

I like LiPos, but I do appreciate the safety factors of round cells whenever I think about liability.
