Hey all, I couldn't stand my Big Baby anymore, the airy thin vape so I pulled out my trust Uwell Crown. I'm using an Hcigar VT167 (dna 250), the coil is the standard Crown SS 0.5. At about 65 watts at the end of the hit I get an "ohms too high reading" and the resistance has shot up to 0.61 (or around there), after a moment when I click fire it goes back down to 0.49-0.53. I know this has to do with the fact it's SS wire so the resistance jumps and the dna chip is closely monitoring fluctuations, and the Ohms Too high warning is because of the 6V cult off of the board. Any fixes? Is it safe to just ignore the warning?

Also:

I've got my eye on the Uwell Crown 3. My intent was to use the 0.5 Kanthal, hopefully I won't have this same issue as the resistance should stay pretty stable in power mode, let me know if I shouldn't bother with 0.5 coils of any kind on a DNA chip, I'm not too keen on the 0.25 SS cause of the higher wattage required.

Ahh, ok. Well I only use Wattage anyway. I'm aware it' sa bit silly to buy a DNA mod for wattage, just wanted something nice. If I understood correctly that 'fix' is just to use a lower resistance. A bit miffed by this, I suppose i"ll buy a new mod next month that can handle 0.5 ohms and higher watts (say a 9V cut off instead of 6?)

You can also use the board to make a 3s dna250 and have 9.3v output, if your using ss could try temp control, you won't go back, otherwise if you're vaping plain power the 450-550j chips will give 9.5v output BUT 0.05 minimum resistance on either mode. (200w/120j) 2 cell. I like the tcr under 0.000050, YiHi does not offer that... then again I vape tc only so evolv is the only smart choice, have a sx330-f8 and that 120j cap made me put it away... (7.5v output max on ipv8)
