Hello guys,

I have two APV: vaporesso Target Pro and LostVape Triade 250. I've used the vaporesso for a couple of months before I get the Triade and I've used TC with SS316L lots of times. Vaporesso have preset SS and I haven't got any trouble with it.

What happens is that I get not consistent vape on TC mode and SS316L. I've downloaded the TFR table for SS316L from steam engine for that material. I've used multiple atomizers with SS316L build with the Triade and Vaporesso at the same time - and I see big difference.

On Triade I need to boost the temperature as far as 280C to get the same vape as 230C on the Vaporesso. I'm quite confused. This is 98% of the time. When I do a new build, or leave the atomizer over night, it might work as expected and have a satisfying vape at 220C-230C but that's rare. Especially when it's not a new build.

I tried to lock the resistance when the coils are cold and have just a tiny bit better results - not need to bump to 270C-280C but probably 260C.

I use 100W preheat function with 55W power. I looked at the real-time graph with EScribe and I didn't noticed anything strange. It seams the atomizer is hitting the correct temperature according to the board and software.

This observations are for a couple of months now and I did not found anything online about such a behavior or observations from other vapers. Am I missing something that obvious?

I only use SS316L or Kanthal. Never tried other materials. I've done lower builds like 0.2-0.3, medium 0.4-0.6 and high ohm builds - 1.1-1.4. Seems this behavior persists. I bought my wire from Amazon - "Crazy Wire Company | The Vape Mesh Company" it says on the spool.

Thank you all in advance for any ideas you may have.

Best regards,
antoniy

Assuming that you are using the exact same build and atomizer on both mods the problem is most likely the differences in internal mod resistances. You never mentioned whether or not the same atty reads the same res on both mods. You can change the internal mod res in escribe to compensate for that.
Note: With 316SS having such a low tcr value very small differences in measured res can cause large swings in displayed temp.

Have you tried increasing the wattage for dna TC , i dont think you can adjust wattage on vapresso ,but you can adjust it on dna
With dna locking the resistance work better also ,
I would also favour the dna TC over most other boards theres a lot more you can adjust to , spaced coils for TC works better on dna

Try the table for SS304 on Steam Engine. I'm guessing the TCR your other mod is using is slightly higher. The TCR for SS304 is also slightly higher. That should bring your numbers in line.

Cheers,
Steve

I will do that as soon as I get my hands on a windows system again, thank you!

Yes, I've tried with same build on the same atomizers on both devices. The difference of resistance has deviation of 0.01-0.02ohm. My current build at this very moment has 0.02ohm difference. Vaporesso shows 0.33ohm and the Triade - 0.31ohm. I've set manual resistance from EScribe once but I took it from a cold reading from Triade and not the Vaporesso device. I will experiment with that as well. Thank you!

Honestly, I did not play with that because the default of 55W was plenty for the builds I do. I've checked the power during firing multiple times before and after the initial 100W preheat I see the power is less than 55W. Some times - a lot less when the temp is maintained.
