I saw the thread on Mamu's screen frame/cradle, but I didn't see any on suggestions on how to mount the board.

How did you guys mount the board? I have only one through-hole left since I'm not using the POT function, but digital steps/switch for up and down adjusment. Did you guys just recess the board into a cavity and just created tabs bolted flush, outside the recessed area, to hold it down?

I suggest chewing gum and/or rubber cement ;)

lol

from what I've seen most people use silicone or mounting tape. some use epoxy. no one as far as I have seen has done a more serious mount, not the least reason for which is there are no mount holes and you solder all the wires along the edges...

Yeah, would've been nice if they added some mounting holes for #2 size through-hole pads on the corners. It'll enlarge the board a bit, but it'd be easier to install...

Your mod is looking really good Dr. G! How did you mount yours into the enclosure? I'm thinking about adding some tabs and just screw it down in the corners...

Ahh, I've put some number two size tap holes 0.5mm away from the edge of the board and screen to the edge of the circumference of the tap holes... Gonna be using button heads to capture it down... The board will sit inside a recessed "coffin" type area inside my box... Finished the design, started to print it, but my extruder motor went kaput! Need a new NEMA 17 stepper motor...

I did however took the failed print and at least used it to verify my throughholes for the up/down button and screen window slot... Pics coming soon...

First DNA20 unit will be for eval/prototype, second DNA20 will be more for go-for-broke, how can I shove this into as small of a volume...

:)
