Hey all,

My first DNA30 device - I have a .7 ohm atty in there. Approximately at 23.5 watts dialed in. It is using 4 volts - everything is fine -

However, under 23.5 watts I am under 4 volts and the voltage blinks when it fires - I thought at any wattage below 23.5 that ill get the voltage of the battery (approx 3.7ish) as the chip can't regulate.

In theory whether I have it dialed at 8 watts or 22 watts the power I'm getting should be the same (since it requires less than 4 volts and will use the battery's voltage).

But I am noticing a huge difference in power when vaping when it is dialed in at 8 watts compared to lets say 20 watts-- how can that be ?

Do I have it all completely wrong?

*sidenote I didn't do my homework and I really hate the fact that DNA30 is not suppose to regulate below 4 volts -

The datasheet from evolve states that the lowest voltage the DNA30 will produce is 4. They say it in two different places.

Is it an evolve board or something else. If it is not from evolve then you need to see what the manufacturer of your board says. If it is evolve then you might check what it is actually putting out and if it is under 4 volts contact them.

The SX350 chip will provide voltage down to 1.5 volts and, with current firmware go up to 35 watts. The 100 watt version of their SX330 chip will also deliver lower voltages. Be careful cause the 50 watt SX330 does not go under battery voltage.

The clone in the Chinese box mods is NOT a DNA30 and behaves differently in some subtle ways.

That is what I brought up elsewhere and I felt people didnt understand. On some builds under 4v is the best vape. I want a device that can handle EVERY set up I can throw at it. That is why I got the SX350 chip and in the process of building my own box. 50 watts, and goes down to 1.5v (not that I would ever go that low). VERY versitile! Will prob be my last mod ever if it lasts!

Good for you.... been reading and researching the sx also.... really wanting to see a data/spec sheet on it.... did they happend to send a data sheet with the chipset?
