Do all 'tobaccos' taste like this?

After vaping pure mint and fruit flavors, I decided to foray into tobacco flavors and ordered 3 from HHV (Legend, Shadow, and Heavenly Tobacco) based on rave reviews and popularity on this forum. After letting steep for 2 weeks, all of these juices taste kind of same-y (differing in level of 'smokiness' if that makes sense) with a slight undertone/aftertaste of what I can only describe as burnt graham cracker. Not enjoying these at all. Am I doing something wrong? I've used both an IClear16 and a Kanger ProTank at 3.7 volts on an MVP. Not much difference.

If these are consistently rated as the best of the best tobacco flavors, should I just give up on finding one that I like? I have Halo Tribeca and Good Life El Kamino on the way but may just give up if these do not do it for me.

I think the tobaccos are the one kind of liquid that varies the most from vendor to vendor, I haven't tried el Kamino but tribeca Is miles apart flavorwise than HHV's line of tobaccos.

That's what I was expecting when I ordered them and I can tell they are different. But to me, they all have the same displeasing aftertaste of burnt graham cracker.

It's been a little over 3.5 weeks since I received them (and I will be giving them another go around soon) I should note that Shadow is the only one of these that I kind of like as of now.

Did you steep them with the caps off for a few days? HHV uses alcohol to mix their juices, and that needs time to evaporate.

But I tried out my voluminous initial order and each had a distinctive taste. After a few weeks, the flavors did change but none of them were bad from day 2.

In fact, I re-ordered 2 flavors well before the end of their "steep time" because they were so good (Heavenly ARMY and Serendipity).

Keep in mind, HHV is consistantly rated AMONG the best of the best for extracted tobaccos, not the only ones. If after you've given them proper time and still don't like them, you've learned you don't like HHV tobaccos, not that you wouldn't like any vendor's extracted tobaccos. For me the top extracted tobacco vendor's are HHV, Ahlusion, GoodeJuice house-brewed line, MountainOakVapors gold line, and Want2Vape. They all have completely different styles and signature flavor. I'd say if you don't like any from those, then you could safely give up finding an extracted tobacco you like.

Then there's synthetic tobacco flavors that you might prefer, they play way different than extracted. No one said this will be quick and easy lol. Stick to small samples until you find what works.

To me, all tobacco juice has a similar taste that i just can't get down with. I was never a tobacco guy and i have tried most. YMMV as always.

What Jerms said. You may want to try a small bottle of HHV's Huntsman as that flavor profile is greatly different. And drink plenty of water. You will get sameness if you're not hydrated and all flavors will become muted and kinda dulled. If you don't like them today, put them in a drawer for a month or two before you use them as drain fragrance

I've been rocking it in a tank for days on end now, switching in between Huntsman, Legend, Serendipity and Heavenly Army. I'm glad I had picked up a 30ml of Huntsman when I made my first order.

I have Serendipity, Legend, and Shadow and I can definitely taste the differences between all three at this point, 5 weeks of steep time. When I first got them up to a week of steep (caps off) I still could not definitively taste differences but after that 4th week their flavor profiles finally started to solidify and the differences became much more apparent.

By the way, LOVE all three!

You are not alone. I have tried close to 100 samples of various tobacco juices (probably all popular vendors/flavors) and have found that a lot of so-called tobacco juices do taste the same and do not have any tobacco flavor to begin with. I think it is a neglected category because most people prefer to vape a strawberry shortcake or something like that, but not tobacco. There is nothing wrong with vaping a strawberry shortcake, but it sucks for those who do like real tobacco flavors.

That having been said, there are some exceptions. Halo's tobaccos, for example, do not all taste the same, but only Turkish and Midnight Apple have a mild pipe tobacco flavor. I have not been able to find anything that has a flavor of an analog cigarette, but there are some juices out there that have an unmistakable pipe and cigar flavor. To get started, I would recommend Want2Vape's The Blond (mild cigar) and Louisville (pipe), as well as Ahlusion's Blue Grass Burley (mild pipe). I also like Halo's Longhorn, Captain Jack, Torque 56, Turkish, and Tribeca, not because they have a tobacco flavor (Turkish, as I have already mentioned, is an exception), but because their flavors are complex, bold and distinctive.

HOLY WOW! Just got my Halo Tribeca in the mail and I take back what I said about tobaccos in the original post. This stuff is DELICIOUS. Buttery, gooey caramel, a butterscotch sweetness, with the right amount of tobacco smokiness, a nice throat hit, and crazy vapor!!!

Hmm... another rave review of Halo Tribeca. I may have to acquiesce and try this stuff. Been putting it off due to the cost factor but I keep reading these good reviews.

I've been looking for a good tobacco flavor and just can't seem to find one I really like. Been DIYing my own stuff but haven't hit the mark with that either.
