I cycle charge two AW IMR 18650 batteries and four 14500 batteries on an Ultrafire WF-188 charger.

Each 18650 is on the charger every other day (usually). They used to charge in about 3-4 hours, but now it's taking over 8. I just checked one and it was at 4.13v after 9 hours. I think the charger light turns green when they hit 4.20v.

They are a little over 2 mos. old, so would have about 35+ charges each.

The 14500 are newer, but I am noticing that they are taking longer and longer to charge too.

Is this the nature of those batteries? Does there come a time where they won't fully charge?

I thought it might be the charger too, but two of the newer 14500s charge normally, the ones that are about 6 weeks old take longer (I have electrical tape around them so know which are which).

The charger has always been set on 650 mA (and 3.7v). I guess I should just buy a PILA, but I still need to figure out what I'm doing to these batteries.

i think provape still has a sale on the pila. it won't show till you add it to your cart

Thanks, I just bought it - was $45 and it took another $5 off in my cart. I wanted one anyway, I'll call it a birthday present :)

I hope that's the issue, but I just don't think it is. Do we have anyone here who's been using AW IMRs long enough to describe what happens when they're shot?

I've had 2 pair of imr 14500 in rotation since December and and 1 pair of IMR 18350 for about 2 months. I charge the a pair of 14500s every 2 days or so and the 18350s every 3 days or so I've notice no difference in charging times or vape times in between charges.

This makes me more confident that it's probably the charger, thanks!

It was my charger, the right side was only charging intermittently, and when I had two batteries on it, the left side started acting up. If I had one battery only on the left side, then it worked.

I received the Pila today and it's awesome! It's like a REO for batteries.

Thanks to everyone for their help and extra thanks for talking me into finally buying a Pila :)
