AW IMR went to 3.1 Volts

I was being stupid and accidently let my AW IMR 1600s over discharge. When i checked the voltage I immediately threw it on to the charger, hopefully they will charge back up. Are these batteries done for? They have only been through one charge cycle so far.

nah they're fine. my wife has ran her batteries down multiple times.

I don't think you've hurt anything. They are rated at a max low voltage of 2.5V, which I would never do, but that's what the specifications say. Most protected lithium batteries kick the protection circuit in around 3.0V resting. I don't think you've done anything dangerous. Most VV mods will take a battery down to 3.2V anyhow.

Oh good.. Yea i need to learn how to tell when to change the batteries in my mech. I guess it takes some getting used to

You'll be fine. I've taken a couple of mine down to 2.7V by mistake. You'll soon learn and notice before they get that low. I can usually catch mine around 3.6 - 3.7. What I find is I have to be careful right after putting in a new wick, or when I go lower in resistance than I usually do.
