Do brand new cartos always taste like this?

Looking for advise, every time I fill a brand new carto, it taste horrible. A combination of burning and something. It is unbearable at times and it sometimes wears after 20 30 puffs, or until it i refill again. I filled a previous used one with RY4 last and it was bliss, so smooth and tasty. So I was wondering what I'm doing wrong? Is there a break in period? Someone suggested that I may not be filling them enough to start, although I put 20-25 drops in until the juice will sit on top of the filler and then let them sit for a few. I've heard of primer, but thought it was regulated to atty's. Can someone give a noob some pointers?

Dont know about 808 cartos, I have never had a problem with my 510 cartos.

E liquid is important to the flavor. I guesss you didn't get a good RY4. Did you get the e liquid from China or US or some EU brands? And if the first time, you didn't use the cartos well, its filler will be burning definily... dont take a big puff at the first, take a small puff to make the filler fully filled by juice. then enjoy your vaporing!

Dont know about 808 cartos, I have never had a problem with my 510 cartos.

808 cartos is 9.2mm diameter disposable, femal ended. it is compatible with many famous brands. 510 cartos is 9.2 mm refillable, but male ended. 510 is a very classic model, I ever used it for about 6 months.

Sounds like you did not get the juice deep enough on the initial fill. Try filling with a syringe. Run needle along side of wadding to bottom of cart, squeeze liquid in and slowly pull up needle at the same time. I do this on initial fill and then subsequent top offs I just drip on top of the wadding and it wicks down.
