I have been vaping for a few months now, but never really figured out what kind of juices mess up plastic tanks. I use a custom tank called an "Imperial" that uses boge short cartos and have been using light colored juices (i.e. Butter Rum and Mountain Dew Voltage) and a friend of mine gave me a couple bottles of some rather dark colored juices that he doesn't like. The flavors are Cherry Cola, Marshmallow, and Irish Cream/Vanilla blend which are all a pretty dark brown. I want to know if any of these "new" juices could be potentially harmful to any of my equipment.

A high PH will react with polycarbonate and acrylic tanks. Typically, the flavorings that cause a tank to crack are cinnamon and citrus. Cinnamon is notorious for cracking tanks. I wouldn't be surprised if cinnamon flavoring was the reason Kanger released the new protanks with threads, instead of being glued together.

Cola itself is pretty acidic, but I can't really comment on the makeup of the e liquid you have. Mallow and ic/vanilla should be fine. I have two evods filled with coffee and dark chocolate raspberry, both of which are dark juices, and have not had any issues other than the coils getting gunked up faster. If anything, I'd be more concerned that the Mountain Dew juice would crack the tank, so if you've been good up to this point I see no reason for concern.
