Do ejuices taste like they smell? I hope not!

Hi! I just received my very first order of ejuices today and when I smelled them I was disappointed. I thought peanut butter cup would smell like a peanut butter cup and the tobacco flavors would smell like tobacco but they don't. Is this normal? (I can't try the juices yet because I'm waiting for my mod in the mail.)

I usually find they smell much better than they taste. And I have yet to find a tobacco that actually smells and tastes like the tobacco we are used to.

Update: A change in opinion! I just shook them and gave them another smell and they actually smell pretty good! I think the reason I was disappointed at first is because I expected them to smell exactly like if I was sniffing the actual thing. Now that I changed my expectations I'm looking forward to trying them! (I also took the caps off and am going to steep them for a while since so many people say that's important!)

For a little experiment, try sniffing them every day to see how the smell (and the vape) will change. On some juices it's amazing! The true taste develops in a week, while the flavors blend. After that you should be good to go.

Oh, and a little drop on the tongue doesn't taste too bad, but don't put three or four! It's like your whole stomach turns. It's amazing to me how people are afraid their kids will get into the stuff, all juice I've tried is stout enough to the tongue (as you find out while over-dripping on an atty LOL) that my kids wouldn't touch it after a tiny taste! (least that's my hope. I'm still keeping it out of reach though )

I use those light bulbs, You can buy them at Home Depot. I love them! The green ones are the best they are the most powerful.The black one is weak,Dont waste your money on that one.The blue one is awesome too!

Don't forget that if you don't immediately like your flavors they may taste WAAAAAY better after steeping for a couple of weeks!

You are very welcome. I have yet to find an e-juice that tastes just like a cigarette...once you get off of cigarettes (you didn't say if you still smoked cigarettes or not just assuming you do) you will be grateful that they don't b/c cigarettes really don't taste very good after you've vaped. You'll see.

madsen6466 - I'm learning the importance of steeping! That's interesting that it can take a couple of weeks to taste it's best! It looks like once I find my "all day vape" I'll have to buy it well in advance!!!

zara1269 - I haven't gotten all I need in the mail to vape yet so I am still smoking nasty cigarettes. I think I made some mistakes in my first purchase. First of all, I bought one month's worth of juice when i don't even know whether I'll prefer tobacco or sweet flavors yet! I bought like 9 10ml bottles of different tobacco flavors and only about four sweet flavors. (I have to say that I did get many tobacco flavors though because I really have to give it a good chance that I could find one I like so I don't really regret it.) But you know, it just occurred to me today, like you said, why would I like to taste tobacco when I can taste cotton candy! lol But like I said, I have no idea what I'll like yet so we'll see! Wish me luck!

don't worry, there's this awesome forum group, Pay it Forward, or PIF for short, where you could trade the juices you don't like! They're an awesome group all around, the most generous bunch on ECF, and they inspire the same generousity in you if you hang out with them

Plus, I'd be happy to trade with you if you find you don't like some, I have plenty of dessert-type flavors! Whenever you get your cartos in and give some a try just let me know if there are a few you don't like. So much of the fun in all this to me is trying new flavors!!

It doesn't sound like you did too bad with your first juice purchase. You bought small bottles of many different flavors and I am sure out the 13 you will find at least one or two that suits you. Nothing wrong with getting tobacco flavors. I still vape tobacco flavors just to break the monotony of fruity/deserty ones myself. My favorite is on called Royal. It's very mild with a slight menthol taste. I smoked for a few weeks when I first started vaping which seems to be the norm. Don't feel any pressure and like many of us you will find that you will prefer vaping more. In my experience when I first started my tastes weren't as picky as they are now. I could vape just about any flavor but now my tastes are way more discriminate.

Hi sweetz! Thank you for telling me about Pay It Forward and being open to trading with me. The only drawback is that I have them all in 6mg nicotine right now! I'm trying that but I don't know if it will be enough for my cravings. We'll see! I did buy 1 30ml bottle of 24mg just in case!
