Do higher vg liquids burn slower?

I'm using Subtanks with Istick/MVP. I have a juice that's 90vg I haven't tried yet. I was thinking of ordering one that's max vg as I heard they actually wick fine in the subtank. The ones I'm vaping now are 70vg and they are perfect. If I get the option I'll choose 70 vg, but my 90 only came as 90, and the Sure Bert I plan on ordering only comes as max vg. Lots of mixed opinions on that, but most say that high VG is fine in the subtanks. If I try the 90vg and it works fine I won't worry about it.

I have a couple Isticks also and each high VG juice is different. Some flavorings are thicker than others so it can vary depending on what flavored juice you are using. I've had an 80/20 VG/PG juice not wick and give me dry hits, but I'm sure there could be other thinner 80/20 juices that might work. It just depends on the flavors in the mix because some flavorings are just thicker than other flavorings. So I guess you won't know until you try it. :)

I use a subtank as well. I use max vg only, and it usually does alright. If you have problems with dry hits, stick a needle through the cotton in the juice holes on the coil. Helps with the thicker blends.
I've heard this, haven't had to do it yet but I'll keep a pin in my pouch in case the situation arises.

I like long pulls at high wattage (30+ if possible), and to this end I have found with the OCC heads and the RTA that I have to use a 50/50 blend. I think the main problem may be I'm trying to get a 'mech-like' vape from a tank which I suppose is unrealistic. I know there are people who are able to achive this with higher VG blends, but once I pull for over a couple of seconds or so I'm into burnt territory.

Yep, it'll really suck if they don't wick though as I don't have any other way to vape it. No dripper for me.

If it ends up being too thick you can always add a tiny bit of distilled water(a drop or two per tank) to thin it out some.

As to your original question, vg has a higher boiling point so it does take more heat to vaporize, unless you're vaping plain vg the other stuff will change the boiling point too though.

That's a great idea, never thought of that! I really want that Sure Bert lol! So I guess worse case scenario I can do just that, add a drop off water if it's too thick.

Something to consider is different boiling points also. A little DW thins out VG for tanks, but DW vaporizes at a lower temperature which leaves VG and flavors behind to gunk up coils. There's a lot to consider in finding the right mix. Some flavors are used at 1% and others up to 20% which has an effect on vaporizing and wicking. I don't think anyone's ever tried to figure out what the vaporizing temperature is of various flavorings. That may be one of the goals of using temperature controled mods?

For the most part, it's trial and error. Do what works for ya.
