Hi all. I'm experiencing a problem (no doubt, user error) that has be baffled. My coil is heating up evenly but then stops firing (1 ohms on a mini). Kind of like turning on the light switch and then immediately turning it off (although I'm still holding the button). I get the 1. Reading buy putting one probe on one screw and the other probe on the other.

Background: was giving my Reo it's usual bath, Naalox and rebuild. Somehow, I lost one of the screws  Bummer, as Robert is temporarily out. I went to the hardware store and got the same size but had to cut it. Pretty rough cut but threaded ok. Tried it but same results. Borrowed the screw from my Woodvile, rebuilt and same results. Same pulsing. Hmmmm. Any ideas? Don't know if a teeny tiny bit (shard) broke off but would I be getting any firing if it had?

Thoughts? Thank you!

A short is unlikely because the spring is designed to collapse in a short and power would not be available until you replaced the spring. I am gonna see what I can think of that would cause that. BRB.

Thanks Drifter! Guess what? No need to research. I was about to respond that I didn't think it was a short because I have one of those "protective chips" under my battery that I have been using until my new kit arrives. (Been using it for a long time). A light bulb went on and I removed the "chip" ( can't remember the name) and guess what? No problem!!

Am wondering how long it might take for the screws to come back in stock though.
Again, thank you for always being there! Have a good one!

You can always get more screws here as well. :)

Oops looks like they're out of those too but I know these work as well in the RM2.

Thanks Puppy. Looks like there's a run on loose screws! Silly me, I have tons of back-up bottles, etc but didn't stock up on screws....
Thanks

Shoot Robert a PM about the screws. Usually the site just need updated.

Glad you figured it out too!
Thanks N. Already sent Robert an email on the website. Hope that's sufficient. I have another order in that doesn't appear to have shipped. Perhaps a teeny tiny screw could fit in package?

Had same issue with my 2cents for safetyvape fuse....decidded it just wasn't worth it.

It's become a collector of RM2 screws and door magents in my bin of extras, lol.
Haha! I never had trouble w it until today. Now, it's next to my other extra collection !
