I have decided to try and rebuild by Aspire nautilus mini and Kanger Aerotank coils after watching a few youtube videos, I think I might be able to do it. I love the flavor I get from my Nauts, but am a little worried about the wicking material, so I am hoping that with some practice I can get a similar effect. The Aerotank doesn't seem to produce near as much flavor or vapor as my Nauts, so I am hoping that with some customizing I can get better results.
I received an Amazon gift card so I have a shopping cart ready to pull the trigger on. This is new to me, but I definitely am a do it myself kind of person, so long as I make it as easy on myself as possible.
I use my Nauts on the istick, and haven't been using the Kangers at all because I love the flavor/hit of the Nauts.
I chose
28 gauge kanthal wire, 100 feet. Genuine Lightning Vapes Kanthal 28 AWG Gauge A1 Wire 100' Roll .32mm 5.27 Ohms/ft Resistance
Should I get the flat wire instead? and is this the preferred size?
200 organic unbleached cotton pads from Cotton Labo ORGANIC Cotton Puff Size M (200pc)
a micro coil jig 510 Threaded Kanthal Wire Macro Micro Nano Coil Jig - Black
a butane pen torch Pen Style Butane Jet Torch and Lighter (with Easy-Adjust Switch)
I have wire cutters from my jewelry making supplies

Am I missing any major puzzle pieces?

IMO, 28ga is too heavy for the Kanger, UNLESS plan is for Sub-ohm. 30 seems to be the sweet spot for me.

My rebuilding kit is: meter, clipper, 1.5mm or 2mm screw driver, cotton ball and wire. The 2 screw drivers are because I build for both my mPT3 (1.5) and my Kayfun (2mm). I use the 30ga, cause I'm building between 1.5 and 2ohm and running at 8-12watts, In an Origin mod with a Kick. I run the PT3 as a single verticle coil build.
