Do not buy the SLB Mega V3 and poor customer service experience with gotvapes

Do not buy the SLB Mega V3! I bought my first one due to my experiences with the V2 which I loved. It lasted less than a month before just dying out of the blue. I decided to give it another chance since I figured the first one must have been a one off defective unit. Second one came and it was all good for about three weeks. Then this one died as well in the same manner. I tried to contact gotvapes, and at first they said they "didn't know" what they could do then when I asked for a refund they pretty much stopped helping me.

I would link to a page here with similar complaints, but I can't post links yet since I am a new member.

Admittedly, I had thrown the unit away (it was a piece of garbage) so I couldn't ship it back, which I wouldn't have anyways even if I still had the item because I shouldn't eat shipping costs on a defective item. Overall a pretty much terrible experience not only with the battery but the company as well.

I'm sure they gotvapes knows that the item is defective on a fundamental level but will continue to sell them because they care more about money than their customers. Buyer beware.

I'm copying and pasting from the GotVapes website:

"Returns accepted on cartomizers ONLY if DOA (the atomizer doesn't fire) and we are notified within 24 hours of the receipt of your package. Battery kits are warrantied for 14 days. This is strictly enforced."

This is pretty typical of most vendors, and you can't fault a vendor for following their own policies (i.e., "three weeks" is beyond the 14 day warranty).

FWIW, I've had nothing but good experiences with the customer service at GotVapes. One of the things about GotVapes that impresses me is that they not only process orders quickly, but they've always responded to my questions/concerns within a matter of hours.

I also wanted to say that I bought the same unit from GotVapes in December. It's going strong still. Admittedly, I have other devices that get more use (I've moved from ego-style batteries to higher end PVs in general), but I still use it in certain circumstances.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with GotVapes, but I wanted to offer a different viewpoint.
