Certain brands/types do have added color, for the affect. Most do not. The color that appears in many comes naturally with aging (steeping) and/or high flavor content.

I have a strawberry I make that starts off clear. Once it's fully steeped, it's a nice pale red. I have a chocolate that when the flavor is doubled, turns a very nice dark brown, yet with normal percentages, is a pale golden brown. And my cheesecake one turns into a nice dark buttery yellow/brown. My orange only turns slightly so that it looks like it's watered down Tang.

Most of the commercial juices I've gotten approximate the same colors. Now, if the color is something really different, I would worry.

I only ask because just about every batch of juice I make has very little to no color at all... compared to some juices I have bought that are almost so dark you cant see through them (a bit exaggerated)

Some do. Some Don't. Most Don't.

Also some Flavorings have a certain degree of Color without Colorants being added. And are not Completely clear.

I myself think ALL Added Colorants should be Banned from e-Liquids.

I have got free samples from a B&M I visited but I have never purchased any. I am sure it all depends on the juice. I know some of the juices I purchased long ago have turned real dark and I think that is from getting to much aging. I prefer the almost clear juices that I make myself and love knowing I made them and I know exactly what is in them. Good luck to you and thanks for posting. Very good observation and question.
