Do the authentic Subtank coils have the "red ring"?

I have two minis, got them both at the same place both legit, one a month ago one a week ago. The latest one had the red coils, in my experience the flavor is the same but the red one wicks better than the white one.
I also noticed that the sub tank themselves have small differences. The one that came with red coils has smoother threads, the drip tip is wider on the bottom, airflow ring adjusts easier, the 510 pin sticks out further and is more cushy/springy and some other little differences. But really they both vape great.
Oh yeah I think the rba section on the newer one had slightly bigger juice channels, I'd have to look again to be sure though.

If you look closely you can see that "Kangertech" on the second one is slightly larger, the red rings fit better on the newer one, space between the rings is different. Nothing too serious, just little things I noticed that made me check authenticity.

Ok im getting kind ......... just bought a new .5 occ yesterday and today it melted the wire in half.... I've had this problem before on my subtank mini... now its on my subtank plus.

Sooooo anyway i driving home and it pops, tastes horrible, and the itaste mvp 3.0 goes blank (vaping at 3.2 volts, any higher and tastes like crap with red coils).....

head to big bang told them it went... unscrew the subtank plus, and the red oring part is still inside the base, kid was shocked, he remembered me buying it the day before.. so i had to buy yet another red occ...

The prepackaged ones on both my plus and mini were white and lasted about a month a piece, what i want to know is why these keep blowing, if im on the cherry bomber i use the rebuild for the subtanks. No issues....

Now with 3.4 volts, or 12w... they break within a few days. The wires poking around the red ring short out.

Where do i find the white ones?

luck of the draw dude. I've had the same thing happen with the white ones and not the red ones.

One thing that could affect how long the bottom insulator on the OCC coils lasts is how firmly the tank is screwed onto your mod. I use the Subtank Nano on the Ego One and sometimes if I screw the Subtank on to the battery too tight (to make for a neat finish) it seems that center pin will squash the insulator. I'll post some pictures if you don't follow me.

So when the insulator is squashed, the wire might cut through a bit quicker/easier.

I never had much luck with the subtank stock coils myself (or any stock coils for that matter), seemed like 50% of the ones I bought were assembled so poorly they were unusable, both the red and white. These days I skip the middle man and save time by just throwing my money directly into the trash, and then I build my own coils that last for months.
