The trouble is ... I can't hardly get even 30 AWG wire to stay under the screws when the screws are tightened down. The head is not wide enough to hold the wire under it. Just keeps coming out when the screws are tightened.

From the photos below, does it look like the screw heads are unusually small on my screws?

Thanks,

They are the normal diameter. However, they also more rounded on the underside than others. That is why your wires keep popping out. You could try filing the bottoms of the screw heads with a needle file or tiny piece of emory. Otherwise, you'll need to work out a good method of wire lead capture where you're really snug on the tails as they come out from under the screws.

I found two solutions for those round bottom screw heads...... The easiest thing to do is wrap the wire clockwise around the screw to help keep it from "squirting" out from under the screw when tightening down -- this takes no modification at all, but sometimes it is not convenient to wrap clockwise depending on how you want your coil placed. The other way is to file the bottoms flat as mentioned above. To me this is the better fix, but it does take time and most of all patience holding those little buggers to you can work on them.
Probably could find some replacement screws somewhere. Seems I read somewhere that the thread pitch is 1.6 metric. 2 -3 mm length.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions ... I wonder if I could find some better replacement screws that small at Lowes or Home Depot?

A small washer under each screw would also be the ticket, but I also wonder if they sell washers that small at Lowes or Home Depot?

I am thinking that fileing that very very small screw might be a real big pain in the ... !

Yes indeed filing those small screws is a royal pain in the @@@. If you can get the screw just right in vice grips, it's not too bad.
I haven't seen super small washers at the local Home Depot or Lowes. You may have better luck at a hobby store if one is near you. I'm thinking of the little screws and washers that are used for servos, motor mount, etc. I would think some of them would be stainless. Failing a hobby shop, I'm sure you can come up with something online, but no instant gratification and you may have to buy in lots of 100 to get a decent price.
Hope this helps....

I built a coil for the same Clone today. I screwed up the first coil trying to mount the positive side under the head and built another. Now this one I ran the wire through the hole in the post and locked it down. I then did almost a full wrap under the head of the other and it worked fine. I got a solid 1.2 Ohm coil which is what I was shooting for using 28 ga kanthal. It is the first one I've built on that one though my other I find the screw heads are a bit bigger though the screws are the same size. I have 2 clones the one shown with 4 wicking tracks and one with 2 tracks. Only real difference in them and they seem to function the same and work with my Nano kit, Kayfun original plastic tanks and the full size plastic tank.

Don't see many of these Kayfun clones with 4 juice channels machined into them.

I have no idea who actually manufactures this clone ... It's not Hcigar, EHpro, Tobeco or anything sold through FastTech.

The only thing I have found out is that it comes out of China from a company called 'Hayi Supply'

You can buy this same clone through DHgate (China) in lots of 50 or more cheap ... http://www.dhgate.com/product/full-...mesto-kayfun/180376339.html#s1-4-1|2382544906

You may have the problem that I had. There is a difference in some of the screws that come with the Russian.
I bought a Russian 91% off Ebay and liked it so much that I ordered another one from Fasttech. The Ebay came in a black "together best cooperation" box, the fasttech came in a white "together best cooperation" box.
Both had the same size screws but the screw HEADS on the fasttech were much smaller. I had received extra screws with the Ebay Russian so I just used those and was able to connect the coil very easily.

I have been looking everywhere for more replacement screws in case I loose one. I have ordered a couple different sizes from Amazon, they work on some of my drippers but not the Russian. Went to several places including ACE with no luck. Still looking.

M33300 - M1.6X4 Phillips Pan Head Machine Screw Stainless Steel A2 DIN7985A

They are only 6 cents each.

Check these out and they also have many other sizes.
Thanks for the link. I checked it out and saw you can get 100 screw for $3. The shipping was $6 . I am going to see what other screws I might need so the shipping will be more in line with the purchase. My problem is trying to figure out the different sizes I might need. I have IGO-W, Igo T, R91, Caravella RTA, RSST, Tridents, and God only knows what next. Might as well order a nice supply for the vape box since these prices are so good.

Your post got me to thinking about how to determine what screw sizes we have in our devices. I could not find a thread gauge that goes below 3mm or so. I did find this chart with the measurements for small metric threads. I am going to get a set of metric calibers to measure with and use this chart.

ISO Metric Thread Specification
