Do the Mini Protank2 and Mini Protank3 have the same size O-Rings (Seal Rings) ? The O-Rings that sit between the metal casing and glass tube.

I need one Seal Ring for my Mini Protank2.

Kanger rubber O ring – KangerTech

Although it will be nice to try the Mini Protank3, I want to stick with the Mini Protank2 for everyday use. For that reason, I need to know the O-Rings are compatible before I buy a Mini Protank3. If not, then I'll buy a new Mini Protank2.

I can locally pick up a Mini Protank3 for $8. I also need a new glass tube, so it works out cheaper than buying seal rings online. Shipping to Canada will be at least $5 to $10, and a glass tube is about $3 for local pickup. Even a new Mini Protank2 at $12 with local pickup will probably cost me less in dollar terms.

Kinda weird -- but it seems more economical to buy a new unit than to purchase O-Rings.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

The ad looks like that is what they are advertising to me. That price is awful though. Is that what they call "sticker shock"? Good luck and I hope you find something cheaper or even better "free".

Yeah - but that it for "about 100" of them.

You can get a lot less - a 5 pack of each size - from sun-vapers for $1.09 USD. See here: Kanger Protank Glass O-Rings - Sun-Vapers.com

I can see the OP's confusion. The Kangertech site doesn't give any information at all and implies there is one glass o-ring for everything. According to Sun-Vapers there are three different size/type glass o-rings depending on what version PT you have. Considering Sun-Vapers is getting them directly from Kangertech... at least one of the sites knows what it's talking about. I vote Sun-Vapers.

You just may want to e-mail Sun-Vapers from the web site to ask if nobody chimes in with the answer.

I just shook out my collection of spare o rings. I have big ones, which I assume are for my Protank3. And I have small ones, which I assume are for the Mini PT2 and Mini PT3. I would know for sure, but I foolishly threw them all together.

Check the photos at Sun-Vapers. They have photos showing which is for what. The only issue is with the Mini PT2 version 2 which has a different top and bottom o-ring for the glass.

Hey thanks for your replies, but i think you missed the purpose of my post. With shipping its not worth it for me to buy O-Rings, when I can buy a Mini Protank 3 for $8 flat. Otherwise, I am not confused about the top and bottom o-rings, my question was regarding the PT2 and PT3 use the same O-rings.

Thanks for trying to help though

LOL. Thats funny. But thanks.

However, the o-rings that I am referring to do not come as spares with the OEM boxes. They have to be purchased separately. I wish they included some spares in the box, considering their trust cost is only like 10 cents.

Ok I'm gonna ask what might be a stupid question. I got a PTII last week on a trade. It was brand new. It came with two extra small o-rings. What are these o-rings replacements for????

Not a stupid quesiton! Lots of people have that question, and i was confused before as well. I thought those were the o-rings I needed until closer inspection.

The Mini PT2 has 4 size O-rings. The one for the drip tip, no spare is included. The glass tube O-rings, a different size for the top o-ring, and bottom o-ring -- these o-rings sit between the glass tube and the glass metal casing, and are the ones that I need. And finally, an o-ring that sits between the gun metal base and the bottom glass metal casing. The two included o-rings are these ones. They get the most wear and tear because your always re-filling your tank.

The ones I received are really small. Would those be extra drip tip o-rings??? This is for a regular PTII. Not a mini.

Hmmm I cant say for sure. I looked in to the MINI PT2 becaues thats what I have. But the orings included iwth mine are quite small, but they stretch alot. at first i thought they were for glass tube, but not big enough. then i thought they were for the drip tip, but they are not thick enough.

do they look thick enough for the drip tip. the orings i have are smaller than the base. but they stretch easily. i actuallyl put one on the base, and it looked exactlyl the same as the one already there. same thickness, and fit right.

you could try to see where it fits, and if it looks right by comparing to the orings already in place.
