Do you clean the blue foam?

Ok, so its been over a week and I think I need to get my clean on. on the 5 carts ive used I already replaced the stock filler with blue foam. I am going to use 70% Isopropyl alcohol to sterilize the carts but what about the foam? Am I ok to use the alcohol on the foam or should I just rinse with water. How do you guys clean your carts and/or filler?

Hi JT,
I take the foam out and put the carts and foam in a cup and pour boiling water over them. Swish it around a bit empty the water and do it again till the water is clear. Then leave them for about 5 mins. Take carts and foam out of the water squeeze the foam over the sink and put them on some paper towel to dry.

Well, the point of cleaning things for vaping to me is if they work better. If they don't I am not cleaning anything. Then again, I much prefer having a maid... lol.

JTman, before I put new foam in my carts, I wash it with dish soap and warm water, rinse thorougly, and let it air dry. If you bought the foam at Petsmart and it is in large pieces, cut it to about 3 x 3 square. Its easier to wash than the little cart size piece.

Once its used up/worn out, I just throw it away and get a fresh piece.

I just clean them with very hot water if I want to reuse them. The same with the carts, sometimes i will use a little alcohol and make sure its good and rinsed.

I was given this link as a recommendation for cleaning. It is what I was going to use today to clean up my stuff since its been about 2 weeks. Is this a bad idea?

Edit: and thanks for all the replies everyone! I plan to toss the filler when it gets older, but its only been about 11 days. Aaaand I forgot to rinse the foam before I used it and I think that is why im getting nasty taste after the first couple drags so I need to clean this stuff asap. The vids in that link go over cleaning the atty and the carts, but no mention of the filler which is why I asked. I plan on letting everything dry over the weekend as I just got my ModernVapor 902 cartomizers about 15 minutes ago!!! WOO!

I know you arent supposed to vape rubbing alcohol. But it seems that as long as you give it time to dry there wont be any problems. I am going to wait and get some 91% when i can run to the store, the stuff i have is 70.
