Hey all. I got my Vapor King three days ago and, quite surprisingly, haven't had a single analog (or even the urge for one) the entire three days! Now I've got 2 1/2 packs of analogs sitting on the shelf and was just about to throw them out when I started having second thoughts. What if we have a power outage and I can't re-charge my batteries. What if it's raining outside? What if ... what if ... what if?

Do you all plan on going 100% e-cig period and live with the consequences, or do you keep analogs for backups in unfavorable circumstances? Personally, I'm leaning towards keeping one unopened pack for emergency and toss or give away the rest.

Personally, I don't have any "emergency analogs" but I plan on getting a pack and storing in the freezer just in case. I've been having hardware problems this week. I'll just keep them in the freezer.

I have a car charger!!!

I kept an extra pack of unopened smokes in the car. Just in case. Had them there for a month before my confidence level was high enough to give them away. I was always worried about batteries and atomizers going south on me... so I carried extras. Now I just carry a couple spares with me in a bag or car when I oto work. @home I could supply an army and have enough to vape for about a month, even without power.

I kept my last pack handy just in case, but threw out two months after I began vaping. It has been over 7 months now, and I have no cravings for analogs, which is pretty good considering that I was a heavy smoker for over 55 years. It is different for everyone though, so if you feel you need the added security of having a pack handy - no big deal. And, if you do have an analog or 2 every once in a while, that also is no big deal. Just do what works for you. Thanks for posting & good luck on your vaping journey.

I don't have smokes for "emergencies". I DO have a pack for the occasional smoke that I enjoy. Same with cigars. I probably had a few cigarettes during the month of December and one cigar. I now smoke because I enjoy a certain tobacco product occasionally...no longer because I'm addicted to them. I now regard having a smoke along the lines of having that triple-layer double-chocolate slice of cheesecake a few times a year. Neither are awesome for you...but I do enjoy it on occasion.

I have emergency cigs but they are not my old faves. They are the harsher lights I had to smoke the last year because I couldn't afford my faves. I am glad these harsh cigarettes hold very little attraction for me. One time last year we lost power for 3 days at home. And we often lose power for 3-4 hours during storms. So yes - I have emerngency cigs (the remaining few packs of a carton from before I started vaping). I also have 1/2 pack in my drawer at work and a 1/2 pack and lighter in one of the car trunks (I don't remember which car). When I first started vaping I actually carried the cigs and lighter in my other pocket (not their normal pocket) "just in case" but since I never needed them I moved them to the car trunk after about a week.

Since I started, I did have 3 battery emergencies (no charged battery) and smoked 1 cigarette while waiting for one battery to charge enough to start vaping while the other charged. Since then I bought craploads of batteries, charging cables, 4-port AC to USB 2amp adapters for home and work, PTs for home and work. So I will never have another battery emergency unless there is an extended power outage. I still need to get a car lighter battery charging cable.

I tell myself I can smoke one if I want...I just don't want one.
That's a double-edged sword with me. lol. I remember I used to be able to ration like 2 or 3 cigs for hours and didn't really "need" one. As soon as that last one was gone, though, I couldn't stop thinking about them. :D
However, if I had them I smoked them.

I threw away my last pack of smokes the day I picked up my PV (18days ago) and don't ever plan on buying any more or hanging on to an 'emergency' pack. I have a complete spare vaping kit in my closet if need be, along with a car charger. ;)

Right before I got my ego I was rolling my own cigs and had about few rolled. Once I started I figured when they were gone I wouldn't roll anymore. I smoked the few I had but it really bothered me that I didn't have any (analogs). So I rolled a few more. They've been sitting in a glass. I haven't smoked any analogs but I like the idea for some strange reason that they're there.

I have a friend who quit smoking and she has had a pack of cigarettes in her purse for about a year.

I normally vape @12-16 mg nicotine juice so I keep a sample size 3ml bottle of 24mg with me. If I'm gonna cave, it's gonna be with the strong Nic juice:)

And I have quite the stockpile of batts for only vaping 3 months LOL! If the elctric goes out, I have five 510 Mega batts, a short 510 batt, 4 Riva batts and a 3.7 box mod. I think I'd be good for 4 days without electric:)

I haven't had the urge though for a stinky. When the going gets rough, I vape a few totes of that 24mg and it calms me right down.
