Do you keep boxes? For how long?

I have a big box with unused things, that in 5 years have become quite a pile. I rarely PIF because here most people don't want to spend the huge bucks vaping is costing. I also kept another big box with boxes. Whenever I receive something new, I take everything out (manuals, spares, etc), put them in a clear labelled plastic bag and off it goes to the spares box. The box it came with goes empty to another box, I'm not sure why since I don't sell anything and the unused stuff is generally thrown in and forgotten, without any boxes of any sort.
What do you do with boxes? Do you throw them out right away, keep them, use them to store unused items?

I keep them with all the spare parts in them that they came with. Need a seal or something I go to the box and get one. I leave the stock coils and charge wires in also unless I need one. Then if I gift it down the road it is nice to give it away with most parts it came with in the box. CHEERS!

Depends on the box. If it's sturdy or cute I save it. Haha, guess I'm a box collector too. I don't sell anything either. I often find things to store in them though. All my manuals go into a sip lock back. I will put a note in the little baggy that has spare o rings and screws as to what rda/rta it belongs to. I've got all those in the box that my mad hatter rda came in.

We have a recylcling facility that is run by developmentally disabled and one of the big items is cardboard so i take them over there in a large bag.
Or, give them to friends who sell small things on Ebay that are not ecig related.

My real hobby is a wristwatch collector. I have over 400. I have always known that the original box with paperwork is important in the value. I have a whole storage room dedicated to watch boxes. I know that this same concept could not possibly be that important when it comes to a $20 tank or a $50 mod, but I can't help myself. Yes, I save the boxes.

I save boxes with the manuals and extra bits for a few months and then PIF, trash, or sell depending on value. I have quite a few nice mechs that came in attractive packaging with a variety of battery tubes that are on display in the corner of my living room with my vinyl collection. They tend to draw questions from friends and new comers but they are only my never-toss-favorites that I'll rock every once in awhile.

technically I've got 2 boxes of stuff, but it really amounts to 1 box of actual stuff; got quite a few tanks in there from the older days when tanks had a tighter draw, but nowadays that stuff is obsolete.

the plan was to pif the stuff, but whereabouts I am it's same as you; vape is still too expensive and more trouble to get going than just buying a pack of smokes; as a matter of fact, the one guy I lent a setup too returned the main setup this past weekend; he still has the evod sized one though, so i'm thinking to setup a smaller version.

but yeah; that's part of the reason I haven't bought more stuff in a while.
there comes a point where you say "whoa whoa whoah!" gotta make use of some of this stuff before I get any more.

That's quite a different ball game my friend. Of course I keep paperwork and boxes from watches and fountain pens, but that's different.
On the other hand I just bought on Corum a preloved Admiral's Cup ladies SS and gold. Paid 750 for it, had I bought it in the 90s it would have cost over 4000. So much for the holding of the value.

I throw most out. Vape gear boxes too. I see ads in the classies with all the boxes and get sad since I dont keep them[emoji58] Sometimes I will keep smaller boxes for sending stuff. I have enough boxes with the flaps ripped off to store my vast and not growing bottle collection. I have 9 bankers boxes with all my biz files in them in my living room....in between jobs right now[emoji6] Bankers boxes are awesome. They have handles and box tops[emoji12]
