I was a chain smoker (2+ pad) for 40 years. I'm now a chain vaper - about 10-15 ml a day. As my equipment has improved I am vaping more but at lower nic levels. When I first started I was using 24 mg/ml and probably using about 2 ml a day but that was with the old 808s and 901s. Now with the juice-hungry tanks and dripping at much lower ohms I'm using a lot more. I might be able to up my nic level (currently at 3-6) and decrease the amount I vape, but I enjoy chain vaping so all is good.

This question intrigued me. Newbie here (as you can probably tell) and trying to quit the cig habit.

I find myself chain vaping, just like I used to chain smoke. However, my smoking habit(s) is/are probably a little bit different. I only smoked in the evenings - usually when dinner was finished, dishes done, etc., etc., etc. And then, it was one cig after another while I read my book in my "smoking lounge" (on a chair, next to the stove, with the vent running full blast). Some days only 1/2 pack, other days 1+.

Now, I do the same thing basically, until the battery dies on me - LOL!

Really new to this vaping thing. Switched to my nautilus mini one week ago (so NEWBIE of me :2cool:, I know) - but at least I haven't had an analog cig in that time. Using 12 nic until I feel I can move down (hope to get to 0 - keeping fingers crossed). REALLY, REALLY liking the Halo Kringle's Kurse - would rather taste that the stinky, icky Marlboro Menthol 100's I used to smoke. (That has been my ...... thus far this week - that I don't really like the taste of those menthols.)

Great place here. I have learned so much in the past month while researching stuff. Look forward to more chatting! :)

I was a half a pack man, but would have liked to have smoked more. Health and budget concerns and not wanting to gunk up my house too bad (I was never an outdoor only smoker) are what kept my usage low. Now, I'm pretty much a chain vaper. If you're worried about vaping too much, I suggest you think about increasing your nic level.

Cindy - get another battery!! lol. BTW - love Kringle's Kurse. I was a menthol smoker and that juice really hit the spot for a long time.

Of course I vape more -- because I CAN! It costs less, it won't kill me, and I can do it indoors! I'd have to be crazy NOT to vape more than I smoked -- about a pk a day, outdoors freezing or roasting, depending on the season -- considering that vaping is keeping me not only from smoking, but from even WANTING to smoke! The more vape, the better!

When I was a smoker I smoked all day. About a pack every day, more if I had a late day at work or a long drive. Now that I don't smoke and only vape it has become a hobby. I enjoyed (in a sick way) smoking for a long time. I vape all day with 3mg juice. Do I vape more than I smoke? I really don't care as long as lighting up a cig seems like a bad idea.

Yes i think i vape more than i used to smoke :( Because of how i can freely vape without bothering anyone or how easy it is. When i used to smoke i had to please people around me, so sometimes i dint smoke or i had to go outside to smoke. Having lunch with colleagues for instance, some of them really hate the smell of the smoke so we sit in a non smoking area and i dint smoke. Now its different, i can vape almost everywhere. Trying to slow down my vape intake at the moment, im spending a lot on juice.

The last time with an analogue i would light it up, finish the stick and thats it. Ill probably take another stick in 20-30 mins if it were lunch or at home. And i usually had to shoooo my children away from where i was having my smoke in the house because i din't want them to inhale the smoke :/
