DOA atty resistance

Has anybody measured the resistance on a DOA? I'm getting 10 MΩ out of a DOA joye LR 510 atty. Yes...mega ohms? My other working one atty comes in at 1.5/1.6Ω so my meter works.

Just curious if this is the resistance of the metal atty housing? Or did they really screw the pooch on the coil?

Usually, they measure less than 1.0ohm or they'll have a high reading like the one you have...or read 0.

A dead atty will have no resistance.

A dead atty will have no resistance.

They usually go up. A 0 reading means that the damn thing broke.
