Does a KR8 5V passthrough actually vape at 5V?

Or does it just end up getting reduced to 3.7? The reason I ask is I have been getting an unwanted warmer vape from my passthrough and my juices just don't taste as good as they do on the battery.

Most pt's should be a constant true 5v.Some juices do tast better with a 3.7v device,but less vapor & cooler draw.

"Direct" PT's (the type without a battery) vape at whatever the power supply is providing. Indirect PT's operate off of an in-line battery (usually 3.7V).

If it's an indirect passthrough it depends on the battery output.

if its indirect then you can unplug it from the usb and keep smoking like the 510 smoke and go. since its a KR808 I'd guess you have a straight thru

Yes, I have eaten my words. xD I just demolished it for a novelty mod, and no battery. I just figured it had one because it was shaped like the batteries.

I went with the KR808 defender/elegant I'm loving it over the basic nebula style KR808. its basically a ego for KR808. I also have a passthru, it works better with the higher resistance cartos, non turbo etc. it's a bit hot with the premium LR style ones for my taste.

from what I recall reading on the forums, PT's vapes at 5v when you use an AC usb adapter only with 5V and dedicated 2 amp I think it was.. when you use it on your puter, it does not.. Think if you do a search (at bottom of page), you should get lots of info about it..

From personal experience, PT on puter is better than batteries but PT on my AC usb adapter is even better but, only with cartos like the cool cartos..
