does anyone have a map... because i am LOST

I have read so much info about different e-cigs that my brain is about to explode, but I haven't found what I'm looking for. Apologies if it is here somewhere and I just missed it.

I just purchased a LUCI e-cig. I looked around a little, but decided on that one mostly based on a friend's recommendation. Got it in and found that I don't really like the way that the LUCI carts taste... they are a little sweet, sort of like pipe tobacco to me. I've looked all over and cannot find the LUCI on any compatabilty lists. Does anyone know if it is compatable with anything else? I am planning to try some of the e-liquids and would love to find some blank carts, not to mention spare parts for a better price than what the LUCI site offers.

Welcome to the site and glad to have you here.
I went to the luci site, but could not figure out what cartomizers would interchange.
I am not that experienced at that part yet.
Hold tight
I am sure some of the more experienced will jump in and give you some options.
It takes a little time to adjust to the ins and outs of vaping, but well worth it.

I thought it might be the same as the blu also, the attys are the same, and the carts look the same, but the luci batt is longer than the blu. It would help if I could find some model numbers or technical spec for the luci to use to compare it to other e-cigs, but I can't find that info anywhere... not in the paperwork I got with it or on the website.

thanks for the help guys! :D

@mlinky... i got the luci based on a friend's recommendation. it was the e-cig that he was using. it's okay for now, but i'll be looking at other e-cigs before i spend stupid money on replacement parts for it. there are SO many different kinds and it's a little hard to figure what it is i want since i'm new to this. i wish more people i knew had e-cigs so i could actually try out some different stuff before i commit to a particular model.

Welcome to ECF, you now know LOTS of people that use personal vaporizers (e-cig is so
Madison Ave advertising)! :) We all use them, but before making any sort of recommendation
you need to tell us more about yourself.

I am a 35+yr 1 1/2 pad, full strength, smoke 'em to the filter, EX-smoker. For me a steady
supply of nicotine, from a VP of any size and shape was what I needed and was comfortable
using. You may be 100% different.

You should check out the stickies on the top of the New Members forum, lots of easy to
understand information, with videos. And the people on this forum are always willing
to answer any questions you may have.

I wonder if there isn't a vaping meet up group in your area. Vapers get together, talk, eat, drink, check out their e-cigs. It would be a great place for you to see various models and talk to people who have tried various models.

You might find meeting info here:

@stosh... I've been smoking for twenty years (1 pad on good days more on bad ones) and I don't particularly want to quit, but my docs say I have to, so... Patches and gum are no good to me; it's not the nicotine that I want, I miss it actually being in my hand. So I decided that I was probably a good candidate for vaping.

@pkj... Good advice! It looks like the only ones in Texas are in Austin and Dallas though, and that's at least a 4 1/2 hour drive either way :( Maybe one will get started in the Houston area... at least that's only an hour away!

You still are a good candidate, you can get juice for your anywhere from 0mg to 36mg, and every
step inbetween. If you just want the "act of smoking" you could try some pure glycerin USP from Walmart and add in some of your own flavors. (it's 100% VG)

Your vaping experience can be adjusted to fit what you personally looking for, it's one of the best things
about it and one of the most frustrating sometimes (too many choices).

Athena, I think you would like an eGo...it is based on a 510, so the parts are pretty interchangeable with most of the standards. Liberty Flights has Riva kits (off-brand eGo) for 29.95. They ship really quickly.

thanks for the help guys! :D

Athena, The two most popular threads on e cigs are the 510 and the Kr808. The ego uses a 510 and KR808 is usually called KR808D-1 or the XL KR808D-1 with a bigger battery or sometimes a VL4 which is one of the major rebrands of the KR808.

The odds are that you have a 510 thread on yours. What I would do is buy some juice, maybe a sampler and some 510 cartos. If the 510's fit your battery you can use those. If not you have some juice to refill the ones you have and that will give you more time to make a decision. Having said that the ego is an excellent battery and the odds are you wind up with more than one type of battery anyway and if you are smoking a pack a day you most likely want a battery that will last longer anyway.. So there's nothing wrong with just buying the ego and some cartos to go with it. Almost all of us have gone through the same kind of confusion at the beginning. There are so many choices and peoples taste are so different that it just isn't possible to tell what you will end up liking. It's more of an art than a science and you will have to experiment till you find what is right for you. In the end it's still cheaper than smoking so I don't worry about spending some money on it. I bought things that I don't use and more than likely you will too.
