Does anyone know the polarity of a Fin Cig battery?

How would running a carto on a battery with reversed polarity make a difference? Still heats the coil...

However the OP may want to know for charger purposes. IDK. Don't have a multi meter? If you do, put black on threads, red on center post and read voltage. If negative, it's positive outside, ground inside (A rare thing I'm sure). Most likely ground outside shell...but IDK for sure.

Yep, wanting to know for charger purposes. :)

I need to get a multi meter.

I had gotten rid of all of my cigalike stuff and then started to regret not having a really small device once in awhile. I have a 5 place 510 charger and will use it on these if I find out it is safe to do.

Honestly any battery maker would NEVER make the outer casing +. It would be extremely prone to shorts. Id be willing to bet with 0 ability to find confirming info the center pin is +

Thus the reason 2 of us said try it, lol. The only reason I went back for some type of verification is I've heard some will put a chip in the battery that will only recognize certain power sources and cartos. I have no idea if that is true.

I have stuck on of them on a 510 5 place charger. Nothing made noise at me yet and the led lit up. It appears to be working.

I do have a four long long ago empty cartomizers here from when I first started vaping, also found when cleaning house. I think my other hardware is laughing at me right now.

I know it is silly but there are moments when I have thought a small cigalike would be handy. I am going to load up the cartomizer, let this battery charge and see how often I use it. I was going to buy an eRoll but if I never use this 510 and cartomizer it means I don't really need it.

I actually do think I will use it once in awhile, 1 will see if I actually do.

Not silly to me. I've had situations where I thought a cigalike would be more apt for what I'm doing. I would have kept the Fin if it didn't have charging issues (pcc). Now I don't have a cigalike but still have the cartos from the Fin. I usually keep one full when I am out an about in case something goes wrong with the clearo I am using or something happens to the juice.

BTW, what did you think of the Fin flavor? It was my first ever juice and I actually liked the "Rich". I have already moved away from "tobacco" flavors and they are too expensive considering how cheap bottles of juice cost, especially if you make your own. I thought about sending an email to them to see if I could get the juice.

I don't remember if I liked it or not. I am trying to remember what order the Fin was in trying things. Before I found this forum I tried 21st Century, that was really bad. I tried Blu, I tried Fin, and I tried V2. All of these were starter kits. If I remember right the V2 produced more vapor than any of the others, the 21st Century had the worst flavor.

Glad it worked OP.

I remember reading about an e-cig that had reversed polarity and a reversed charger. IDK if it still exists, but yeah...somebody actually did that. The voltages/amps are low enough that shocks/shorts wouldn't kill ya. And the center was ground but is recessed so it's still hard to short if the ground is isolated.

I suppose it's possible that it's an urban legend. But I don't think so.

Ah-ha! How expensive is a Fin? Maybe just... toss it on the charger and see what happens?

What could happen is the battery could short out and cause any number of very expensive damages. This is very bad advise and I would suggest you need to learn about LION batteries your self before you have a bad experience. 20min worth of reading and you will have a very good understanding of what you are using.

I am finding out the cig-a-like is nice to have around.

I have Large, Medium, and a Small solution going. Now that I run Large and Medium sized devices I think my expectation of the smallest is not as great, I don't want more and more battery life and and juice capacity, I get that with my large device.

I am starting to wish my cig-a-like was a 306a rather than a 510.
