Hi,
I recently picked up some TFA Flavors from RTS and one of them was Irish Cream. I had to bump up the percentage of flavor to 7% and add a couple drops of vinegar but I really like it. I read somewhere that usually a single flavor mix isn't perfection. Does anyone have suggestions about tweaking that flavor. Does anyone just mix a single flavor?
Thanks,
Dawn

I was playing with Grape by Flavor West. I liked it so much at 8% that I vaped a 5ml test batch and made a 15ml bottle thats almost empty lol

Some flavors just taste good on thier own while others I prefer blended. Coffee is anohter one I prefer all by itself. Just plain, black coffee. Also FW and I like that one at 9%. Which might go very well with your Irish Cream.

Ive thought about flavor enhancers but realized I dont have to add a bunch of stuff just for the sake of it. If something tastes good and you enjoy it - then you have perfection!

I vape a couple of single flavor juices I DIY. One is Dulce de Leche and the other is Coffee Espresso. Neither needs anything else. I expect there will be more as I go down the road. I also vape a bunch of other juices I made that have anywhere from 3 to 8 flavors in them. Depends on what I feel like vaping and how much I want to dink around making juice the day I do it.

I don't believe there is 'one true way' to DIY as long as you are mindful of the nic level and are careful with nic, and don't use flavorings that clearly state they are not suitable for vaping.

Hey dunk. What coffee do use and at what percent? If you don't mind. I'm still on my seemingly never ending quest to find something to replace my wife's VB coffee. Thanks.

Most of TPA e liquid flavours i vape as singles, black cherry, cappucino, menthol, vanilla, banana cream etc.

But it is quite interesting to mix them up a bit I guess, specially if you get hold of flavours such as pie crust, gives the fruit flavours a whole new life. That makes me think...banana cream pie might be one i will try having said that!

I make all my juices as single flavours. makes it easier to work out what will mix together IMO.

I do the same Yves. It's much easier to get a mix right when you already have the flavors at their optimum IMO. Also, I think it is a big bonus to familiarize ourselves with the individual flavors so we have a better idea of what to expect when we do mix them. My mixes have improved dramatically since I started doing this. The only negative is I have had to buy a bazillion bottles! LOL! But that's okay, it works! Sometimes I will even use a tall condom (sounds so wrong!) to make a micro mix to try flavors together first before I mix up a bottle, helps a lot too. I think this is an awesome hobby, who would have ever thunk it? LOL

I have two different ratios. The flavor is by Flavor West - Cafe Coffee (I get it from ECX but its cheaper from FW directly).

6% for a really mellow coffee flavor. Not too strong.
9% for more of a dark french roast style blend.

yes it really depends on the type of flavoring you have. I made the mistake of ordering all tobaccos from FA and subtle base flavors from TPA like caramel, graham, bavarian creme, etc. All those flavors are missing punch and you would think they're sweet but they're not...even with EM added. I just ordered a bunch of fruit flavors to have fun. oh and sweetener flavors like marshmallow.
It's funny how some vendors flavors are exagerated in sweetness. That's why I voluntarily got some less intense stuff but realize now that it might be just a question of lowering %. Anyways, single flavor juices are obviously fruits as more complex mixes would probably contain a small % of tobacco and 'pastry', nutty or spice ingredients.

I have bunch of flavors that I vape as a singles. Actually, I dare to say that big percentage of DIY-ers do the same. If it tastes great, no need to over complicate things.

This!

A lot of the flavors are EXCELLENT by themselves. Some benefit from a touch of sweetener ;)
