Does e-juice still "steep" when in a cartomizer?

I got a few e-juices that I have had before in the past, but the flavor is so off on them. Some of them have no distinct flavor at all, and just have kind of a weird artificial aftertaste. I figured it would be best to let them sit and "steep" for a while. I've read people do things such as just letting them sit with the cap off for a day, or letting the entire bottle with while capped for a few weeks.

My question is, if I fill a cartomizer with the e-juice, and let it sit for a few days, will the "steeping" effect still take place with the juice that's soaking in the cotton in the cartomizer? Has anyone who uses cartomizers and not tanks had this happen, filled up a carto and experienced a slight flavor change over the course of a few days of letting the carto sit?

Thanks for any insight!

The longer juice is exposed to air the more changes that occur. But that really isn't steeping. Steeping is just an ageing process.

Letting juice sit uncapped is not really for steeping. Leaving the lid off lets the juice breathe. This helps to get rid of the alcohol or chemical taste that some juices have when they are first made. That's really what happens in the carto if you leave it sit open to the air.

Hope that helps a little.
