Does eGo have cut off?

Just upgraded from 510 to eGo. Only due to Holiday sales. I needed backup batts and I couldn't pass up the price.

. Love it! But after about 10 second draw it starts flashing and then cuts off. I don't like it to cut off till I cut it off.

Is this standard? A real genuine eGo? 10 seconds are plenty. (But, again, I don't like cut offs for my "multi draws". Just want to make sure I got a genuine eGo. I haven't tried the one I got from the other vendor yet. And I don't want to mention this vendor yet because some might take it as negative and I've only heard possitive about this vendor.

I have several eGo's and mine do the same thing. I believe I read this is the standard for eGo's.

Yeah mine does this too, it's a safety feature I'm glad is there, I carry mine in the breast pocket of my uniform and it puts my mind to ease knowing that if the button gets pressed down for some reason I'm not gonna set myself on fire

Correct the eGo does have a cutoff and the LED will flash when you reach that point

The cut out is to ensure that you do not burn the atty. Remember, once burnt, the atty will be useless unless you do know how to remake the heating coil. Oftentimes it is there for a purpose.

It's also there to make sure you don't burn YOURSELF.

My brother managed to fall asleep with his ecig beside him on the bed, and roll onto it in his sleep. Woke up to a nasty burn on his leg.

Agree, i been using the Janty eGo and it does have the Cut off after mis-press for 10sec.

I have seen some article on eGo over heating and may due to mutipressing in Bag. This does happen to Any eGo Battery Button.

So get the eGo Batt Cover to solve this issue.

Odd, because my old eGo batteries dont have any cut-off whatsoever, it may be that they are the older model of eGo batts, but as Xanax stated mods = no cut-off

My Tornado/eGo USB Passthrough doesn't have a cutoff.

Erm, i think for your future Batt, u got to start ordering them with the Cutofft, my friend just got his bag burn off as he didn't put his eGo in the container, neither did he get the Button cover. now his Adidas bag stinks.

My eGo passthrough batteries don't have a cutoff either.
