Does ejuice flavor become subtle over time?

Hello,

I'm pretty much still a noob when it comes to vaping. I bought an ejuice that tasted great in the beginning with a lot of flavor, but it is now just very subtle.

I don't seem to be able to taste the juice as much as before. I have been vaping this flavor most of the time. Currently I'm using an Ego-T battery with a Stardust Clearo. I am aware of the issue where you need to turn the stardust upside down to continue the flavor going.

I'm still getting good vapor production, but the taste isn't how it used to be. Does ejuice lose flavor as time passes? I've only had the ejuice for about 2.5 weeks. I have occasionally left the ejuice in my car to boil in the hot California weather.

I also have another question. My friend uses an atomizer and he drips his juice in. He's using a 50/50 mix and it creates a lot of vapor production and gives great flavor. I own a itaste vv, but the vapor production is really low. From the reviews I've read about the itaste, it created a good vapor production. I just don't get that at all with my 50/50 mix. This is the reason why I went to a 80/20 mix to get more vapor, but I just don't get any throat hit. I tried raising the voltage setting a bit and all I got was a burnt taste. What can I do to get a good throat hit, vapor production, and flavor?

As far as the flavor, yes - most ejuice mellows out over time, or even develops a whole
new flavor. That is because of steeping - the process of time allowing flavors to blend
together like a leftover casserole or soup.

The other thing is that you will become immune to a flavor if you vape it all the time. The
best thing to do is rotate vapes, even to the point of having two or three ADV (all day
vapes) that you rotate. That will keep them new to your taste buds.

hmmm.. makes sense. Also, what can I do to get more vapor production, flavor, and throat hit? I really like the vapor production from my 80(VG)/20(PG) mix, but when I use this on my iTaste VV, I get absolutely no throat hit. However, when I use my Ego-T with a clearo, I get great throat hit and good vapor. I find that on a clearo, the taste is nulled a bit and I don't get as good of a flavor as my iTaste VV which uses a tank and an atomizer.

Would this be in the quality of the juice or the mod that I'm using?

Ever spray air freshener in a room, and in a bit you can't smell it anymore, but then you leave and come back in a few minutes and you can smell it again?

This. Your body is designed to learn to ignore persistent sensations so that you can perceive new ones. Throwback to the caveman days. It's why you stop smelling your perfume/cologne after a few hours but you may still receive compliments on it throughout the day.

What nic level are you using, OP? Higher nic gives you a bit more throat hit. And in MY experience, a vivi nova gives you better flavor than a stardust but operates more or less the same way.

pg = more flavor and throat hit; vg = more vapor.

Some people believe you can get more vapor production with dual coil cartomizers; maybe try some of those if you haven't already. Personally, I prefer single coil cartos over the duals; I was experiencing too much burnt taste with the duals, but that was just my experience. With the single coils, I believe I get as much vapor, no more burnt taste, and they are easier on battery life.

Cartomizers will arguably give you more flavor (again, my experience) while clearo devices will give you more vapor production perhaps with some loss in flavor. Your results may vary.

Although they are still in their infancy stage, the newer rebuildable atomizers allegedly can give you the best vape possible. Probably an item for more experienced vapors and those willing to tinker with their devices, as you need to build your own metal wicks.

Yeah, maybe I'll try that when I get more experienced in what I'm doing. I'll keep the single coil in mind. Also, I just ordered the Boba's Bounty 100% VG. I'm wondering if 100% VG works well with cartos? Should I go with something else?

The more it steeps (in most cases) the more it changes. Some for the bad and others for the good. For instance, Ecto Plasma, IMO, does not steep well. It begins to taste very lemon/limey and looses some of that fruit punch taste.....IMO. But juices from NLV seem to steep very well and get better over time.

just my .02$ :)
